Im working on it trust me...........:D FREAKING MONEY ....always coming between me and my desires.

Im even planning on doing a 1" body lift too at some point. I want 4" inches or so without a DB lift. With 285s I think i will look perfect.

Hopefully tomorrow I order the UCAs.

If I wasnt spending cash on my lift project and stupid shit I dont need but want(LED guage swap and lighted 4x4 switch) I would def come. Just 50 bux plus the gas and distance kills it for me.

Thanks for the invite though.......I am def getting in soon on a trail day or get together. Look forward to wheeling with guys that have experience.....I will be a complete newb taking the worst lines:D

Well I hear yea, especially from someone that has as much experience as you do. This is more of a meet and greet in a good spot, great for pictures. Maybe when we go up to NH or something?

Well if your gonna start that and you dont think you'll take good lines while wheeling, I would recommend saving up for sliders then skid plates.

Alright guys........dillema. I want to get my LR UCAs soon because it seems like now is the time. There is a GB for them going on now until 9/21/12 http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/gr...light-racing-upper-control-arm-group-buy.html and although I cant publically post the price its GOOD lets just say that. Even considering Fatbob's price which tends to be the best. The UCAs in the group buy are brand new and have the new bushings in them.

My other option is to get a used pair with 4k on them from a member here. They do not have the new bushings but the seller showed me a thread where someone can install the new ones themselves.http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/208945-new-bushings-light-racing-ucas.html

The bushings dont cost that much like 40 bux...........and I thought maybe I could install the bushings myself but it looks like I would need a sawsall....a good workbench....and some drills........and some good skills. Things I dont have. I would save anywhere from 40-80 bux depending on how the deal works out. I am not against buying used as my springs are and 4k on them is not alot when I plan on putting another 100k on them. But I dont wanna try and save a buck and later have it cost more in the end by damaging them while replacing bushings.

What do you guys think?......since I will prob be working with some of you to install my lift is this something we can tackle? or should I just spend the extra cash and go with the group buy and save the hassle for all of us:D.

Help me out guys..............GB is done in a week or so.:)

Ya....i wont be doing any tough stuff until I have skids. Not worth it because its my only vehicle. Lift is to be able to fit bigger tires so then I can have some more clearence. Skids would be cool and when budget allows I'll be there. Until then it will have to be light wheeling at most.

Just read that thread on installing new bushings on the UCAs, it looks doable, if you wanna go for it i could try to help out. Again im no mechanic but im a carpenter so i have a bunch of tools that would be helpful and we could probably pull it off, Ive got drills, clamps, big ass hammer haha, sawzall, but i dont think i would use a sawzall, if you could use a jigsaw with a metal blade the cut could be more controlled.
Personally i would just buy new ones, not only for the reason that it would save time on the install but because i like new shiny things haha :) and just because you dont know how bad they were beat on.
So if were ganna do this mod day, ive been thinking about buying a cheaper pnuematic impact wrench. I have a compressor, small tank tho but i might be able to borrow my buddys wheelbarrel style air keg its gatta be over 10 gallons. If we have that and someone else to help us who has done it before we will fucking tear right through these builds haha.

Right on....thanks. Ya....when i looked at the bushing thread I said to myself theres gotta be a better tool than a sawsall.......like even a air tool with a smaller recip blade......or like you said a jigsaw would flex better as to not cut the UCA.

I kinda am leaning towards the new ones too just for peace of mind sake. SPC has great customer serivce and the savings arent huge. Prob gonna go with the GB......you should too dude......just pull the trigger and get the stuff so we can both get ours done. Im piecing mine so it isnt such a huge hit. I got the springs 1st for 120......then the billies......now the UCAs.

The GB price is really good too bro......I personally dont see them being offered any cheaper anytime soon or ever. Best time to get in on GB is when the vendor is new trying to make a name for themselves.

Ya very tempting, i actually saw the price on the group buy before they removed it from the original post, dsm has a group buy for camburg UCAs also, and also no price. Is this something the mods are doing? Its good if they are, alot of people put alot of time and effort into this forum and they should be rewarded for it, it is way to easy for anyone who hasnt even posted on tw to take advantage of the group buys. Youre probably right tho, i will most likely be in and that group buy on monday.
So now you just need rear shocks and leafs right? I am planning on just ordering evrything at once, and im almost ready to. Im actually waiting to sell something on the stock market to put towards my lift so my bank account doesnt take a huge hit haha. Ive also been working 7 days a week because i want to be able to buy tires as soon as the lift is installed. So all that plus maybe some tools im getting near 3 grand :/ and i just dropped almost 2 on my headunit and sound system a few months ago plus i just bought new wheels.Good thing my girlfriend is getting her masters this year and were not living together, so that gives me about 9 months to work my ass off so i can get a supercharger...maybe haha

Ya thats alot of ching.......I'm doing what I do best......keeping to a low budget lol. I have 5100s all around ready to go......got the extended rears too so Im def getting the leaf pack. If I get the UCAs then all I'll need is the leaf pack and odds and ends. I'll grab the spacer if I use them......CB drop.......diff drip if I go with one......and whatever else when I get done with the major components. Dont think I'll need longer brake lines but I may just get them if it makes sense. I wont be doing huge wheeling adventures but why not be prepared if I do.

PM me the camburg price if you got it.....just curious.
