Sure, if you just wanna wheel on Sunday. I don't think I can leave until early afternoon at best on Saturday. Is there a group going? If so count me out, next time I go I'm running only the stuff that guarantees breakage of parts.

but shackles are a nice upgrade for flex anyways..but 2'' lift shackles will be huge haha

I wish don't have the money right now..not that kind of money. Plus for that price i would want everything included and not have to buy the install kit.

They key will be amping your speakers. Your head unit puts out like 20w RMS..way to low.

Yes it is possible. If you get some nice speakers and a good amp, it'll sound great. It won't thump your truck anymore, but it'll still sound good.

 

yea sure man. You can do it on that budget no problem.

wiring it isn't that hard, you can reuse the stock wiring. What i did for my speakers in the stock location.

i bet her's is amped actually. Its just a factory amp hidden somewhere. Most newer cars have that. Had a friend with a 98 Dakota that had stock amps.

It really does make a difference tho as does a decent head unit. And if you still wanted some thump, but more space, you could run some 6x9s in the back too.

But im sure you could do something with that budget..especially if you have a 4 channel amp already.

 

no 6x9s don't fit stock. But they will take up less room. Yes a 8'' or 10'' sub would work great also.

and is the 530w amp you have a 4 channel amp? 4 ins and 4 outs?

 

Getting a smaller sub will give you a tighter bass response and cleaner bass. I have 12'' subs. Sound flubby to me. 8'' subs are the best for clarity, 10s are a great compromise of clarity and power.

However this isn't going to help you cause for better overall sound. Better speakers, HU, and amp will.

 

I wanted the same thing good sound with out loosing space. i bought alpine type R 6X8's 4 of them one for each door then a alpine 4 chanle 400 wat amp it powers them just fine and i have good bass but nothing like my old truck did with 2 12's in it. thinking im gonna have to put a 10 with a small slot port to get that good bass back. just make it removable incase i need the room. quick disconnects it is.

Thump is overrated and all played out anyway.

All I know is that the stock system in the new corolla sounds amazing. It is a 6 speaker system but no sub.

If I was to guess, it may be that the water level fluctuates a bit. And to access the camping area, the only to get to it is along the shoreline. Although, looking at the area in google maps, it looks like there may be another way around to get to the camping area, and avoid going thru the water.
