OKAY - so have a mad pulse in my warped rotors so i'm thinking time to buy new ones. I went on RockAuto.com and looked what they have. I found a "PowerStop" kit, K1233 . Comes with drilled and slotted rotors + Ceramic pads for 125.00 ....
Is anyone familiar with PowerStop brakes??

Also i have looked into EBC Brakes.

Any Input on what brakes you have used and experienced.

Its just Tundra brakes so if you have the motivation, you can actually piece this kit together for a bit cheaper price. Check local junk yards for the calipers, rotors, and pads .

As for slotted rotors, they dont stop better with an empty truck. For the first year I didnt notice any diff and thought I wasted my money, however when hauling some tile on the interstate, I had to stop suddenly and I noticed a lot less fade in the brakes than when hauling with the stock brakes.

Check out Tundra Solutions classifieds. I found a guy selling calipers cheap. If you buy the 19xmm calipers, they were recalled because they didn't have enough power for the full sized tundra, so they're cheaper/more plentiful than the bigger calipers.

All in all calipers, rotors (brembo blanks), pads (akebono ceramics, look em up), ran me around 300. Plus I bought a rebuild kit since they were used, about $20 from toyota. My calipers froze so I needed all new stuff anyway, decided to go with the tundra brakes.

I've used the "powerstop" I believe. I get them from Ebay store "Brake Motive". Drilled and Slotted rotors and 100% true ceramic (No metal filler like the auto zone junk). I actually had them on the F250 SD I got rid of for my taco. They stopped very well and like previous post...faded much less than stock....

if you wheel I'd go blanks.... less chance of stuff getting stuck in the rotors and killing your pads imo. if you want to stop on a dime you bought the wrong vehicle

lol that's what my first thought was.... not sure why anyone would buy those with that being obvious.

*Nano coating* (New product) - over 5,000 hours of salt spray resistance, heated onto the rotors at over 700 degrees. The part where the brake pads touch will rub off. All other areas have a thicker coat and will prevent rust/corrosion etc.

Mine had a coating and things were a bit hairy until it wore off. I did laps in my neighborhood, riding my brakes until the pads stopped slipping on the rotor coating.

That's a negative - from the Tech Department (Brakeworld.com), "it's a new rust, corrosion, salt etc resistance. " that also comes in colors for visual. The rotors from the link i posted, have only been out for 3 weeks. So far, they are a huge hit and their biggest seller.

Well ya :) i mentioned that a couple posts ago - where the pad touches like any coating, it's supposed to come off.
