Hi all. Are there any members that are mechanics in the North San Diego area? Can anyone recommend a mechanic or shop that will charge reasonable?
I have a 03 DC pre-runner with a 2.7. I need to have that all too familiar clank noise on my steering looked at and possibly change the bushings on the rack.
    Thanks

Yes, pricing is awesome, he has low overhead (home business) and tons of experience, ex-master tech at Toyota. I sent him a pm to this link. He'll get you dialed in

D-Mac’s Auto Repair on E. Grand Ave in Escondido. Super knowledgeable, older guy. Small shop, seldom that busy. Brian will talk straight with you. Old school service that’s rare these days. Will tell you what’s probably wrong free before doing any necessary involved testing. Neat guy to discuss Tacos with. Will always suggest only what is needed. Good prices.
