Hmm Good question. I would like to have my truck on its feet by next week. I made some mock up shackles so i can cycle everything. I can get everything else done and just through them on when they are finsihed. I was going to purchase engage 13 inch shackles. But I would like a custom set.

Good info! Budget is not a issue but don't want to spend $ without proper justification. The truck is not a daily driver so if something breaks the only issue is getting it back home or to a shop. I know it's not cheep and the old logic of you get what you pay for comes into play. Also I will not be beating on the truck as hard as some of you but I would like to not be limited by the rear like I am now.

i understand... i do kind of wish i had made my hangers myself because when i got mine on of the weld looked like it was jacked up already just ever so slightly so i ground them off and re welded them.. i also added weld washers and gusseted them to the frame

What do you guys think about giant motor sports kit?
    giantmotorsports.com/content/view/84/104/

For some reason I can't link the entire kit but this gives you a idea.

I need your opinion. I am getting the truck ready for the rear lt using allpro 50t pack. Ive searched and these are the most educated methods i have come accross. I am over thinking the placement of the front leaf spring hanger, so I need some clarification. Which is a "better" plan of attack? 1.) Bolt main leaf to axle with front hangers bolted on, jack the axle to stock bump location and tack the front hangers then 52.5" or 2.) Measure both leafs (along the leaf) from centering pin to front eye of the leaf and just take the difference and mount the hanger at that measurement then 52.5. Of course, i will cycle everything after. I only have 2 days to get the leafs swapped and bed cage fabbed so I want to make the most of my time.

u could put ur battery back there? I had to cuz my stock mounts blew out on a trip and the battery was laying on the side of the motor haha. That or the HF jack everyone uses, just make a removable mount or something so u can put it back there every trip and take it out afterwards? Helpful and will add weight. My buddy put a tire in his bed and then another undneath in the stock location and had is battery back there and it did great, until it rolled last season :(

Plan 1 will not work, you wont be able to compress the spring and keep everything lined up without the hangers already being tacked. Plan 2 is pretty much your only option. Measure everything out, then measure it again, then look at some other installs and then measure again. Tack everything in place and cylce it. Im not sure if a double cab's bed mount is different but my front hanger bolt is just behind the front edge of the bed mount

Johnny Branch and me work on my truck up in Hemit. Good price, amazing work. he use to only tig weld for his vehicles. BTW if u have ever scene the center-mounted/ linked F100 Richard at RPM raced, he built most of it

adam posted a few pages back just measure the difference between the two leaf packs and take a piece of plate drill two holes that distance and bolt it to the old hanger and the new hanger and swing it in to place and tack it on
