Supber bee...NEVER gonna happen..way way to rare and expensive. Better luck getting ahold of a 69 BOSS 429...or Don Yenko Super Camaro...both..very rare and over a quarter a mill each.

The new 302 is powerful yet agile. Supposed to be great fun in the corners stuff. Which honestly, more more cool then a fast 1/4 mile time.

Milliseconds are a thousandth of a second not a millionth. So 250 ms is a quarter of a second. One thing about speedtest.net is that it defaults you to the closest server to you so you get a good connection there. It can show you your peak numbers better but realistically you are accessing servers all over the nation if not the word. Try pinging a server in Japan or something and see how much slower that is.

One thing is that most servers get lots of traffic so unless you are gaming or downloading lots of stuff, you typically won't see much difference in speeds when you break that 3 Mbps speeds, because servers can't send you anymore data per second than that. 8-10 ms is a crazy good ping!

At my wedding reception in July, one of Candice's relatives pulled up in a 2013 Mustang. It wasn't anything fancy, may have been a GT, but it just had the 5.0L V8 in it and he said it was stupid fast for a 5.0. He was surprised when he got on it.

Edit: I just looked at the specs on the Ford website and I think that his 5.0 and the 302 Boss are the same motor they just turned up the rev limiter and maybe some small mods like intake and exhaust or something.

    HP:
    402 @ 6,500 rpm (5.0L V8 regular fuel)
    420 @ 6,500 rpm (5.0L V8 premium fuel)
    444 @ 7,400 rpm (Hi-Po 302 V8)
    650 @ 6,250 rpm (5.8L supercharged V8 manual)

    Torque:
    377 @ 4.250 rpm (5.0L V8 regular fuel)
    390 @ 4,250 rpm (5.0L V8 premium fuel)
    380 @ 4,500 rpm (Hi-Po 302 V8)
    600 @ 4,000 rpm (5.8L supercharged V8 manual)

The Shelby GT500 is still where it is at;)

Yes I have wanted a gt 500 for ever. But I wouldn't want one with the 650hp. You can use it. It's like owning a dodge viper. So much power..no grip. It's useless without grip

No no no. One turbo my friend. The twins on the 2jz are nothing compared to a big single. Say a 67mm or 71mm. Then your talking.

Oh yeah, when I caught up on everything from last night, I forgot to mention that the '66 GTO is a boat!! I want a '69:D One of my grandpa's friends has a '66 and they are just big and bulky.

I just watched that video and they said that Trophy Truck has a 442 small block chevy in it. That is a huge small block. I've heard of 350 being bored up to 400's but that's the biggest small block I know. My Grandpa's friend's '66 GTO has a 396 big block in it.

Although most of the big block, small block stuff has gone out the window in recent years. haha

You like boats I take it. haha. I prefer the sleeker looking muscle cars (like everyone else haha), mostly from about '68-'72.

And size doesn't always mean power, (well unless you are comparing motors of the same era then it typically does). In 1910 Pierce Arrow made a 13.5L I6 that produced a whopping 60 hp. The police interceptor version of that 1965 Ford Country Squire's 7.0L motor was listed at almost the same amount of hp as my 4.0L V6. Granted it probably has more torque, but also significantly worse fuel mileage.

As I have gotten older, I have decided that I like to look at older cars and such, but I don't really want any anymore. The newer cars are just better all the way around; more comfortable, more power, more mpg, safer, more options, etc.

    agreed.

Its funny really. Even now, American companies still go for bigger displacement yet many over sea companies can get 1.5-2x the power outa the same size engine..haha

Yep. It's like what I see on XR-U all the time, "Horsepower sells vehicles, torque wins races"

I think it would be cool if they regulated how you had to list your hp and torque numbers. haha. Then come up with a new system, so that it's not just peak numbers, but some sort of an average over the power band or something.

Take the 2nd gen S/C options. Throw a URD S/C with smaller pulley, headers, intake, and exhaust and it isn't too hard for them to break 400 hp with a good tune. The TRD S/C with a smaller pulley, headers, exhaust, and intake has yet to break 400 hp without nos or meth injection. They typically peak at about 350 hp. But put the two on the drag strip and the TRD wins like 90% of the time because it has a better overall powerband, particularly on the low end.

cause they are a different type of SC giving power and different part of the rpms.

That has some effect, but my point is high hp doesn't mean fast (in the sense of like drag races and such, not going to get into lap type races where you may be on and off the throttle a lot, the URD S/C may be a better choice for that area of racing). Anyway, everyone brags up hp and treat it as the only good variable about a car. haha, bugs me when someone thinks one vehicle is better than another cuz it has more hp cuz they are usually implying that it is faster because it has more hp...

no you miss read i said stacked turbos not twins. that means a smaller turbo that spools fast and then a big one (71mm) to take over. the 2JZ has been recorded at putting out just over 1100 horse:eek:.

Most of the power is derived from the lips... ah wait i mean heads and cams they use.
