The fails were part of that. I guess the way I see it is 4 hi is there at the flip of a switch so I just use it. But everybody has different driving styles so if the bags work for you more power to ya. :)

The unfortunate feeling....as a parent it would be good to have some closure, I'm sure. But, it's also a nightmare.

Ok, So I need a little help deciding what to do with my front end. I've got 885 coils on 5100's set at zero. They only gave me about 1.5"-1.75" of lift after they settled which was a little disappointing. I guess it's due to the fact that it's a DCLB. Hub to fender measurement is 23" which is approximately 2.75"-3" over stock. Subtract the body lift (1.25") and that's how I determined the lift height. This would also explain why the fins on my cv's are no where even close to touching.

As of right now, I don't have anything heavy hanging off the front end, but a new front bumper will be in the works soon. I'm contemplating bumping them up to the .85 setting to raise the front just a tad more. Has anyone seen or heard of anyone running this setup successfully? Anyone heard of someone blowing up their shock with this? I don't wheel with a heavy foot and this thing will never see air time. Just trying to obtain as much imput as possible.

Good luck up there. Enjoy the never ending winter nights and cold like you've never felt before. Though the summers up there will be awesome. Make sure you partake of some stink flipper. It's a local delicacy.

May also want to consider putting an engine block heater on the taco.

I bought my taco in AK. It came with a heater under the battery, a block heater and one on the oil pan.

Depending on where you get stationed, you'll either want to buy a 4-wheeler or a snow MACHINE! They'll look at you like you have some shit on your face of you say snow mobile.

+1, snow machine, not snowmobile. It sounds funny, and is weird to say, but I suppose they feel the same way about "snowmobile"

AK is beautiful! I spent a summer up there and went skiing a few times in the winter. Summer was amazing, do some fly fishing if you get a chance!
