It looks awesome out there. It would be cool to tent in the Moab, but to much time off for me. I am looking to get back not more off

If you go with the D2S or the H1, they really can't handle the excess heat put off by 55W bulbs and ballasts. The FX-R projectors can take the extra heat and can safely run 55W bulbs but there's really no need. If you feel the need for better lighting, you can upgrade to better bulbs and ballasts. If you go with the D2S projectors, you can upgrade to OEM quality ballasts and CBI bulbs but it's pricey. For the H1s, the only upgrade available is the $30 upgrade to XB35 bulbs. I went for the upgraded bulbs but I don't have the standard bulbs to compare them to.

For the H1 upgraded bulbs are supposed to run cooler and have a crisper color whatever that means (those were Andrew's words from TRS). The OEM upgrades for the D2S kits fire quicker, color shift quicker and are supposed to last longer although I haven't heard of anyone having issues with the morimoto ballasts going out. The upgraded bulbs for the D2S are basically overbuilt. They CBI bulbs will take either 35 or 55 watt ballasts.

 

Yea the rod thread are hard and the aluminum knob is soft so my knob is cross threaded on.

 

Speaking from experience, you're much better off. I partied like hell most of my 20's and it didn't end well on a few fronts.

Just saw a 2nd gen tacoma lifted with black wheels same color as alexs hoe runner on RT6 in sitcuate RI then a few cars back was a white 2nd gen lifted.
