    I have currently 5100's with stock TRD Off Road coils set to 2.5. My caster is way off. It rides OK, but my driver side tire rubs on UCA at full lock. I would like to correct the caster. I know one way is to get new UCA's.

    I have been thinking about spindles, because the Maxtrac spindles are $540 shipped and the Total Chaos UCA's are $650 shipped. Spindles are cheaper and will give me 1" more lift which would be nice :D If I install spindles will my caster be within specs? Also if I install spindles what setting would I put my 5100's at?

    Lastly if I get spindles what to do about the rear? Can i add another AAL to my leaf pack? I currently have Toytec 2" AAL. Or should I just add a block to have the truck sit level? I want to steer away from getting new leaf pack until my stock leaf pack is completely shot...

    Here is picture of my current alignment specs;

    If you get the spindles, you can either set your 5100's at 0 and get close to 4' of lift and get these smoothest ride or you can preload at .85' and get more than 4' of lift but compromise ride a little bit because of preload. If you have a 2' AAL in the back, you should be almost level, maybe a little bro lean in the front I would assume if you set the 5100's at 0 with spindles.

    You won't have to get new UCA's if you set the 5100's at 0 or .85, you can use stock UCA's and be within stock specs for alignment because the spindles allow the lift without changing ride geometry.

    Thats good news! Now more questions;

    1, will i need wheel spacers with these spindles? I am running 265/75/16's on stock TRD off road wheels.

    2, As far as I can tell I should be able to lift the truck total of 6" with the spindles using 5100's OME 885 and TC UCA's correct?

    I would like to get more specific answer than that. And if I do need wheel spacers I would like to know what size...

    NO!

    You will Not need spacers, even with out the Maxtrac spindles you will not need spacers as those size tires will fit. Be aware that some of the more agressive side walled tires ( Duratracs Etc. ) have a tendency to be very close so keep that in mind when purchasing tires in the future.

    According to the Maxtrac website the spindles add "+0.75" Track Width increase per side" and they recommend "4.75" Max Backspacing or less" which will be fine with your stockers.

    They also recommend 17" wheels but plenty of people run these with 16" wheels with no issue . . .
