Has anyone tried Mcguiar's headlight UV protectant instead of mixing up urethane?

I just happened to see it on the shelf in Autozone yesterday and thought I should bring it up.

    ABS sucks.
I know it's not a Taco, but the same rules apply...

I started with headlamp lenses that were on par to being a milk jug. After wet sanding starting at 400 and working up to 2000 grit, I used automotive clearcoat from a rattlecan to finish the job off.

Where are you guys picking up your helmsman spar? I've gone to Home Depot and lowes and all I can find at both locations is the spray can of helmsman..

What sucks is this shouldn't even be an issue- the manufacturers know that plastic headlights suck the big one and still they keep putting them on everything. From the cheapest Hyundais to Mercedes you see fogged plastic lenses. All of the nanny-staters are wailing for more safety features yet one of the biggest safety features and the easiest to remedy is ignored. I'd be perfectly happy with some Hella Vision Pluses like I installed in my last Taco; never had an issue with them.

Does any of that headlight protection film prevent yellowing headlights?
