265 65 18 with a 2"-3" lift... Pics?

I wanna see some pics with this tires size lifted. I have seen lots with billies at 1.75 but not sure if I have with a full lift..

What do you mean 'full lift'? Front and back 2"?

I have this tire size with 2" front only.

 

By full lift I meat like front and rear done.. But I am glad you posted I like your truck and those rims... I am stuck between doing a full lift or just leveling the front.. Just wanted to see what 265 65 18 look like with a full lift incase I decide leveling isn't enough don't want to have to get new tires again!

sounds like you're stuck between wanting the 'raked' look or just wanting a leveled truck. You can find plenty of pictures of both on TW. Some like raked, some like level, all personal preference, but keep in mind that if you haul or tow things a lot, you might want some rake so that when the bed is loaded, it isn't riding nose high.

You can run 265/65r18 without a lift if the offset of your new rims matches the stock rims, or if you choose to run new wheels for a wider stance, I'd recommend you do a 1.75" (minimum) front lift and you'll have very little (if any) trimming to do. FYI - I had to remove the front bumper mud flap from my 2012. These mud flaps don't exist on other years.

Lifting the back of the truck makes no difference for fitment, that's simply your preference.

 

I plan on doing bilstein 5100's up front @1.75 to start I am pretty sure.. But I am not sure that will be high enough for me some pictures I see it looks high enough others don't... I plan on an 18x9 wheel -12 OS so I will be good for fitment from what I have been told on here.

I just dont want to feel the need for bigger tires if I did decide to add eibach or OME springs an an AAL down the road... But the more I think about it I don't want to big a tire anyway I prefere the look....

Front bumper mudflaps?

 

Front bumper mud flap attachs literally to the front bumper and sticks down IN FRONT of the front tire. I have no idea why Toyota decided these are necessary, they're only on the 2012's as far as I know. Much like the 'shark fin' antenna that Toyota decided was necessary on the 2012's but not on other years.

IMO, 18x9 with 5" or 4.5" backspacing is perfect for Tacomas. it gives you great proportions. And 2" lift with 31.5" tires like we're talking about will clearly give you a non-stock look without causing major alignment, or other issues.

As far as the Novakanes - I got them for about 225 each + shipping, locking lug nuts, and spline key totaled 1090 for all 4 shipped to my door.

Talk to 'Lundy' on these forums, he works for Pacific Distributors and can get you the best price. The best I thought I could do before I talked to him was over 1200 (and that was with a ton of research), without lug nuts - So finding and talking to him made the deal for me. Plus, I got a 100 dollar rebate from BMF for buying the wheels through an approved retailer. - so technically I got them all for 990.

I hear you on 'the look', big tires arent necessairly want i wanted either, IMO good proportions are more important than maximum lift, and with a 2" lift, I think a 31.5" tire like the 265/65r18 is the perfect proportion.

Ok ya I see those little flaps, I haven't looked but I am guessing they just unbolt...

I do prefer a raked look for the reason if I do have my sled in the back etc... I asked a question on here and got nothing concrete atleast... I wonder how 1.75 in the front with an AAL in the back would look or other rear options with just the billies in the front @1.75...

my page shows my truck form stock, to 5100's set at 1.75" on stock coils, then the top 2 pics are with the added 1" block in the back. that might give you a good idea on what you are looking for.
i have 265/70/17 tires which are pretty close to being the same as what you want.
when i leveled mine, it looked nose high to me, so i put in the 1" blocks. now i think it looks perfect.

Your truck looks good and ya the top to pics look perfect. I would say that without the blocks it would be nose high forsure.. Nice truck!

 

thanks. rides just like stock. the only difference is the tires are a little louder, some people don't like it, i think it sounds cool. had it on the highway last week doing between 110-120 kms/h (you can do the calculations,lol) and it was smooth and straight.

I haven't really looked at with the difference between blocks in the rear vs AAL in the rear as far as ride etc?? But yiur truck looks good and leveled with those blocks.
What about a diff drop or carrier bearing drop? Any issues there or no reason based on how high u are?

Nicetaco don't know if this helps but I did 3" in the front & 2" in the rear. I have the stock 265/65/17. Plans are 17x9 XD spy's & 285/70/17.

 

lol, sorry about that, didn't notice, i just assume most people on here are in the US.
as for the AAL, do you not have the 4 leaf pack already? mine came with it from the factory.
i haven't done anything in regards to the diff drop, and don't plan on it. i don't think such a small lift will make that big of a difference, but i am not a mechanic so i could be wrong. i am not experiencing any type of vibrations what so ever.

Yes mine came with the 4 leaf pack from factory... But you can still get a AAL, I'm pretty sure the one for the 4 leaf pack is 1.5" in added height

 

Wow! I Second that! Great color! I may have to find the code for that color one day and get a new paint job on my truck, then again the dark blue is pretty awesome too

 

Thanks guys, I haven't seen another one like it on the road around here the only other one I've seen is a 2013 at the dealer.

Furlywhite, its spruce green mica- paint code 6v4 I believe.
