I am working on the same basic thing, 40" rigid on the front as well. Only difference is mine sticks up more than 2", no pun intended. Look forward to seeing your pics too:thumbsup:

Got any pics of what you're working on? I'm working with a third party to make mine happen, Going as low profile as possible in order to still fit in parking garages but I will only be mounting a 4g RotoPax and a set of maxxtrax up there

Just pics of designs, its all cut up and formed and putting it together now. Once I get it all tacked together Ill put up a couple pics. Trying to keep it tight to roof and droop in the front to follow roof line. It is also wider in the front to follow the contour of the roof gutters. I think I am going to need to run a deflector for the light to keep it off the hood. I already bought the 40" rigid and I bought the hybrid beam dangit, should have got spot and might have been ok. I will probably change it around a few times before I am happy with it, might need so wind deflection stuff done to it as well, we'll see how it sounds.

Use the LED bar as a fairing to keep wind noise at a minimum. Ill be wrapping the center section of my hood in matte black vinyl to keep reflection down even though I got a spot beam. Just some ideas

Any ideas on what would be a good option for mounting an RRT? I had the OEM roof rack, but sold it. I dont think it would have been sturdy enough to support the tent and a couple people and stuff in it though.

My rear racks are an option for a RTT also. I have made a few of these for RTT's. It is high enough to get coolers and gear etc under the rack and short enough that the tent doesnt cause a ton of wind drag. Still allows a roof rack to be added if needed.

Nice truck! My rack kicks ass. Everyone knows the quality work Tyler does, and this is just one more example of that.

That's a sweet rack that I would probably go for, but I want to keep my toolbox so I am practically forced to though it on the roof or make a bed rack way too tall for my likes.

I got a little trick up my sleeve for a toolbox. Since my spare is mounted on a swingout I am going to cut thru the bed where the spare used to be and put a 30 x 20 x 10 locking storage box inside the floor of the bed

    Id buy that.
Heck I went to two fab places today. I'm wanting a bed rack since my headache rack has cracked the bed rail OEM caps. One shop didn't have a tubing bender. The other talked me out of it.

The AP rack is cool but I want mine taller.

can’t wait for pic. so kinda like the ridgeline? (just using that as an example)
why they talk you out of it?

the AP is kinda nice. but i don’t like how it bolts together, that makes it weaker. i like the one BAMF made for a guy. it’s pretty sick and all welded together and is one big pice. i want to get a welder and bender and make me a roof rack.

If anyone knows the cheapest way to get an OEM roof rack let me know plz. Cheapest shipped I can find right now is from Ebay for ~$240 shipped. That's better than any of the black friday deals I've seen so far.

Unfortunately we were not able to finish this project due to stepping up from a 40" to a 50" light bar. All the logistics were covered and this product is available is someone would like to order it. In short it would be the BajaRack utility without the fairing and using a 40" bar in its place. This is orderable through us or direct from BajaRack.
