    I cant even count how many times I have emailed can-bak for them to make one of those for the 05+ Tacomas. It actually would not be hard to fab a frame up using that top. Now you got me thinking...

    Yeah, I called can-bak the first week I bought the truck and they said their wouldn't be sufficient interest so I bought a shell off Craigslist for 200$. I want a canvas one though!!

    My thoughts (once I acquire the skills) is to build a rack like this:

    With a plate on top and just find some very durable fabric like the ones used for soft toppers and just secure it to the top plate and have flaps that can secure to the sides of the bedrack to cover everything and can roll up and secure to the top of the bedrack for easy access to things in the bed.

    Mmmm plating the top would make it stupid heavy. Just saying. I'm going to make a canvas top and sides for mine eventually though. Would be hard to do the top as well. It'll save a lot of weight that's for sure.
