What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Hope everything gets resolved..

 

I heard snow is coming Tuesday so I dug out the plow and put it on. Let it snow all it wants now!

Yup, sounds like it will. I asked for reimbursement on the wiper blades I put on. Bosch Icon ;-)

Was going to ask you how it does, but I guess you don't know yet. Seems like a taco would be a bit light to push much snow. May not be an issue for you though, not sure how your winters typically look in Ma.

 

Little more info on this if possible . Just curious if you just cut a peice of wood and wrapped it in carpet or something else. Have been searching and cant find much except stereo installs lol

 

I bet it does just fine as long as you don't let the snow get too deep before you start. I've though about doing this myself (...although I'd rather just move somewhere it didn't snow).

 

I have been plowing snow for thirty years now. I think this little truck will do just fine. Yes the trick with all trucks is to not let to much snow come down before you start. It is also just for my driveway and maybe a few friends as well. I am sure it does as good as any jeep, and they are legendary for plowing driveways around here.
We get some good winters here, 60-90 inches per winter (except last year) which is why I bought it.

 

I used 1/2" birch plywood sheet cut to 48" x 18.5". Attached carpet with carpet glue and then stapled it around to the back. Pre drilled the holes in the plywood and then used sheet metal screws to attach it to the center support on the back wall.

It does move a little if you push on the top or bottom since the center support sticks out further than anything else. I will probably pull it out next week and glue some blocks of wood along the top and bottom so that it doesn't move at all.

You will either have to make cutouts for the child restraint system or remove those brackets from the back wall.

Finally got to a PC to post pics of the extra 110 outlet (tapped into the factory inverter) I put in the center console. I also replaced my Rack and pinion boot, got it aligned, fixed the squeaky leaf, installed front weathertech mats and also took a look where my passenger UCA hits the coil when suspesions extends down. Still running the factory UCA's

Thanks!!! I wanted the extra space, but i didnt want to scratch the crap out of the back wall, so i wanted to do something for the back wall, but didnt know what. I was thinking of carpeting it all, and cutting out what i needed for the child safety restraints
