i had the same problem, i played soccer, swimming, and tennis, all lean building muscles, i weighed like 155 senior year and was 6'0". all really dense muscle from low impact sports like swimming, i wasn't ripped but my legs were fucking shredded from playing all year round haha, been going to the rec 5 days a week the past 6-7 weeks and i've gained 10 pounds and still have 4% body fat. pretty happy with the results, going for 180 by the end of the school year.
    Start Date 10/1/12
    starting weight: 152
    starting height: 6'1.5"
    11/26/12
    Current weight 162.5 +/-.5 lbs
    Current height 6'2"

    Target weight: 180
    Target Height: I'm tall enough

    routine
    3 sets 8-12 reps
    A week
MWF-bicep, back (curling, rowing, military press)
T Th-Pec, legs, Tricep (pec deck, leg press, tricep curls)

    B Week
MWF-Pec, legs, Tricep (pec deck, leg press, tricep curls)
T Th- bicep, back (curling, rowing, military press)

i'll throw some core work outs in there every once and a while and always do a few sets on the punching bag afterwards as a cool down

most current pic i have, I'm not the biggest guy nor am i trying to get huge, just trying to get to a solid fighting height to weight ratio

I ain't gonna lie guys, 6'0"-6'2" and weighing under 180 is pretty small.

I was small for the longest time at 6'1", been hitting heavy weights and eating loads of shitty food with intermittent fasting <---- good food times. Bumped my weight up to 199.5 as of yesterday, still have a visible 6 pack.

    Link to my build.

Lol you may love this - two years ago when i was completely bulking, i went up to 198ish and it was all on a shitty diet, i ate whatever and a shit ton of it. Subway meatball marinera every day, cinnamon rolls, taco bell, pizza, meat loaf, im telling you nothing but meat, bread and cheese hahah. But i was able to gain muscle and keep nice abs. The amazing body!

That's the key especially to a personal trainer, it's not what you know, it's how to get each individual person's body to react and accomplish their goal.

I know how my body responds if I eat protein and hit the tread mill with HIIT training for a few weeks, I'll loose so much weight and be ripped. Now I'm trying to figure out where my body responds when I don't do that, so far I'm liking the results.

haha exactly, in high school and even my first year in college i could not for the life of me gain weight, I've always been a tall scrawny mofo, protein and a high carb/calorie diet are really helping change that, all i want is a little more mass but keep the definition and tone I've always had, 180-185 is the perfect weight for what i want to achieve without becoming too bulky and slow

You know the difference between your mom and a washing machine?

The washing machine doesn't follow me around for 3 weeks after I put a load in it.
