    We'll see.

That might be something in the future also. I need a house first. Then I can start buying some expensive tools like a tubing bender and plasma table.

Yea I'm definitely going to wait till after then. Because I don't want to do it, then immediately go on a long trip. I would want to drive it easy and listen to the motor for a few hundred miles before I fully trust it.

looks good. all tho i would make it longer. about the length of the bed.

i can’t wait to get the money to buy a welder.. i want a roof rack really bad!

think i’m going to try and find a place that will do the very few bends i need done, that way i don’t have to buy a tube bender right now.

all i need it like 8 bends.( it will have a tube going all the way around, and cross bars and all welded to ti. than have sides that are about 5” tall and another tube that goes all the way around.) i may have the bottom tube bend down closer to the roof line on the front side. so it may need 10 bends.

Thanks. It's actually that length for a reason. From the bed rail closest to the cab to the first cross bar is exactly 5". From the last crossbar to the tailgate is around 34-35". The reason for this is so that I can stand my 4 boggers side by side at the rear and strap them to the rack, while still being able to open the tailgate easily. I can also fit a 33" spare on top of the rack with a little room left all the way around. All the tubing that i used was scrap from work. I didnt have to make any bends myself. I just pieced it together and ground the joints smooth. This is the only pic I have with the tires loaded. I was mocking up the little fingers that hold the tires together and in the center of the bed. I have some more done to it now but don't have any pics.

oh thats really cool. i see why you did that now and i like it! i don’t have a 2nd set of tires so i guess i never thought about that.

i have thought about a bed rack, but in spring summer i mow a small business, i just put a push mower back pack blow and weed eater in the bed on weekends. do about 1.5 to 2h of work by my self and get $60, sometimes dad will go and help or my brother and takes even less time. i’m thinking about a soft topper, so i can hide stuff and keep stuff dry in the bed and just fold it down on weekends when i need to go mow.

some times i have to take bags of dirt down and replant grass or do mulch. i do have access to dads ’00 tundra any time i want.(reason i got the SB instead of the LB, we also have a 7’X12’ open trailer i can use anytime) i’m thinking about a roof rack, if i need to i can put bags of dirt or bales of straw. also good for road trips. and i will make cross bars the mount on the top bars that i can take on and off, that will have a snowboard rack mounted to it.
