Always wanted to explore the trails in Ramona. Went from one that took us to Lake Sutherland dam and into a small Native American town then ended out by Warner Springs. The trails or roads even aren't challenging but I'm sure you can find something out there to have fun with. I'm pretty sure most are open to the public.

Put a run together, I'm sure plenty of guys would love a nice scenic run like that. I've been down damn near every dirt road in this backcountry but always hunting/scouting and seldom enjoying the ride and the scenery

4WD (Doug): Good to see you posting regular-like... I was worried when you talked about selling the Toy! The gang here needs you!!

What is the latest for the run this Saturday... I can at least dream about going. My Taco is ready and might make me take it along??? (Still hoping for a job to materialize for me!).

Thank you Tyler... as much as I would love to go, it is likely not happening. We had a great time going the opposite direction a year ago... Broken Shaft Gulch from the Fish Creek side was 'easy' (I had been through it before, going down without a scratch), and climbing up the Diablo Dropoff, while pulling James' Tacoma, was epic!

I will buy a lotto ticket for tonight... if the results are good, I will join you guys... I am ready and willing... and NEED to FOUR WHEEL DRIVE!!!

It looks like it heads up that way but also looks like it forks with another trail that would veer off behind Iron mnt

Went to Monte Vista for a couple years, Foley High in Foley, Al (same as CSJumper) and then finished up at El Cap my last year.

 

Thanks Dave, I think its mostly self-induced, working for myself and always worrying about money is causing me to loose focus on things. I am sure stress is causing most of my problems.

I just need to find my niche again, seems I got lost somewhere along the way. I am going in circles and feel I am not being productive or really moving forward like I should be and its taking a toll because I am really hard on myself.

I seem to beat myself up over everything and if I keep it up I am never going to get out of this mode..its my own fault, just having a hard time fixing it since I dont have any family or even hang out with friends anymore, never ever thought I would need that since I have always been so self-sufficient, gotta get my ass in gear again.

I wont be setting up any meets anytime soon not having the truck rolling and all. Last time I was up that road a little was to shoot clay pigeons and to find a fresh dead dairy cow that was stinking up the canyon.

 

Eh, you dont need a truck, we'll take mine. I havent been up that route in quite a while, I do recall some gates but they were not locked. I was scouting for deer up on the top near mesa grande by some water holes. Route I took came out near La Jolla Indian reservation at the base of Palomar. That was probaly like 15 years ago, was pretty much 2WD fire road stuff at the time.

 

Cant remember.....who works on Toyotas in here? My coworker has a 95 4runner and needs a timing belt replaced, and it is a hell of a job after looking through one of the post on yotatech. He got quoted a huge price, but thought maybe I could find a cheaper price for him

Sorry to hear bro. Glad he is doing better. I have seen people that have been in perfect shape have a stroke. Glad you had somebody there.

 

So Ive been searching around and think Im going to get some BORA 3/4" spacers for up front. Supposedly they fit with no shaving of the stock studs and they are wheel and hub centric so I wont have vibs on the freeway. Anyone heard of anything I should be concerned about before I buy these?

 

If it's hub centric and made out of billet you should be fine.
