Thanks again for the write up.

Here is something you may want to try to fix your volume level, but do this procedure when in the "IPod" mode.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
I used to love Sirius. But felt the stern show going down hill. I had listened for years with great delight. A time came when it was time to renew, and I didn't.
I loved Elis on faction, Bubba was great. Hard attack was pretty cool. but I felt the Stren show became the "artie" show. It was good for awhile, but just got boring to me. Howard didn't seem to care anymore. to bad though, I think about signing back up from time to time.

    BPACHOM.

I tried the tip in the audio.pdf file you linked but no luck. Worth a shot though and thanks for trying for me. I think the problem is just with the Sirius unit. My output is at the highest setting it can be but it just doesn't have the beef. I could hard wire it through the FM antenna in the back and it may be louder but then I lose my ability to listen to the radio while my Sirius is still powered up.

It's something I'll have to live with because I want the other features that go with hooking it up this way.

    Thanks again!

    oghwga,
Do you have the scc1 installed, Ithought from your original post that you said you use a sporster not the factory radio. This audio.pdf only works if you have the scc1 installed. Your only way to turn it up is with your audio output level on the sporster...my ipod is a little less volume as well useing the aux inout, but the volume on the ipod helps that...

Good News I could never find anything wrong in the way I installed the sirius Radio turner or interface. So out of desperation I bought another interface (toysc1) and low and behold it worked so the first interface was BAD. Thank You BPachom and everyone else for all your help. Now I have Sirius Radio in my 2009 Tacoma. I have now installed cruise control, intermediate wipers and sirius radio on this truck. My next project is back up camera(which it to is already on tailgate) just need a Mirror Back Up Camera Display OFM. Once again Thanks Everyone.

Great post. We just ordered our 2009 and love our Sirius but would love to be able to get it working with the factory system. We'll have to try this.

    Cheers

Thanks for the comment. Good luck with your new Tacoma (when it comes), I'm sure you will enjoy it. The one thing I did not show was how to remove the factory radio, but if you do a search, you will find a post with detailed instructions with pictures.

    Good luck!

Blu Logic, Hitch, pretty stock and probably will stay that way.
My dealer emailed me Toyota install instructions in PDFs for the Blu Logic phone system. There were color pictures of each step and a write up. I would assume they have other write-ups for installing other options as well. Well worth getting.

If you truck is prewired for XM will the sirius unit plug into the prewire or do you have to take out the head unit? I am nervous of doing damage and would really like to just use the pre-wire.

    Thanks

Not sure what your version of “pre wired” is. When I purchased my truck, the salesman told me my the truck’s factory radio had built in satellite, all I had to do was transfer my account over to this radio and I was “good to go”.
Truth of the matter was, the factory radio was “satellite ready” meaning the factory radio can operate or provide the controls/functions of satellite radio when connected to a satellite tuner, at the time, either XM or Sirius, but as you may know, the two companies merged.

But to answer your question, as the original post indicated, my install was for Sirius satellite radio using the Toyota factory radio. This was done by installing the SCC1 & TOY-SC1 Sirius equipment which was all “plug and play”, but required the removal of the factory radio for access to the rear of the radio.

So after 3 weeks of the tuner and receiver being back ordered, I received everything and went to work installing it. Thanks to BPachom's play by play pictures, everything went smooth during the install.

Came across a problem though, no words display on the screen.... only channel number and the word SIRIUS. Has anyone come across this before. I spoke with Sirius and believe it or not, the lady was hard to understand (Broken English) so i called TSS Radio who were very helpful and suggested disconnecting the battery to reset to radio.... Didnt work. TSS Radio will be sending a new TOY SC1 Module tommorow.

Anyway, the audio is loud without altering. I would like to see that link again though for adjusting the audio if it is still available.

    Thanks
