X2! the rig looks bad ass good sir! I've been seeing a lot of softoppers with a rack over it, i like it!

I agree on the baja rack or any other low profile rack! Nice n simple & less wind resistance.

and an RTT like the Maggiolina Air Top, because its low profile & less wind resistance like stated above.

Anyhow, awesome build!! Keep it up!

Here's the start of mine.... details in the build thread.... Next move is to upgrade the stock coils atop my 5100's.... most of you guys running OME 885's??? I would like a steel bumper in the future so I think I will be needing the ability to carry some extra weight.

Just a few expensive & DIY things...
Toying with the idea of getting the OME and 885(x)'s and having a winch on a aluminum bumper on a '10 dcsb.
Bad idea in terms of future sag or weight?

Dont do alot of hard core wheeling, mostly getting to and from destinations and photography related stuff. it's a 2wd anyways. so nothing I can't get out of by myself.

I have a 220 lumen CREE LED flashlight that is visible at 150 yards, and that's with a single bulb. Surely 32" of CREE LEDs could cast enough visible light that I would be able to distinguish what I'm looking at around 200 yards out.

I could be wrong, but I would think that :notsure:

That seems a bit exaggerated..150yards for one bulb??..find that hard to believe personally.

But a nice led bar for 200 yards I can believe yes..but my light forces go WELL past 200 yards.

For a roof mounted spotlight I don't think LED bars are worth the cost yet for their performance. They will get there at some point I'm sure if it. Probably very soon.

But if I can have more light at goes farther for like the 8-9th of the cost..no way in hell am I paying 1000+ for a 40" bar that is actually very nice.

As just my opinion though. I'm not trying to stop anyone from buying an LED bar. I'd just never get one as a spot light or man driving light. I still have 6 of my own led bars. But they are used as fill lights on my rig not spots.
