help please, 2013 w/ 3" giving warning tone

Anyone have a 2009+ service manual? All I have is a 2005-2008.

Is there a point where the VSC and buzzer works properly: beeps loudly/normally, brakes, etc.?

 

I'm interested in what they say , please keep us informed of any discoveries

Ok, so it works properly at times, but does this weird phenomenon every so often.

What you said earlier about being at the threshold seems to be the only decent explanation so far... Because all I've seen in my 2005-2008 manual points to a master cylinder solenoid problem. But, that doesn't make too much sense if the system works properly at times.

BTW, see if your 2009+ manual says anything similar. I found it in the "BRAKE CONTROL – VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM; BC–115; PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE" section.

I don't know what good it will do, though the systems should be very close if not exactly the same, but here is the 2005-2008 problems symptoms table.

Judging by that description, the slip light and buzzer should activate when VSC activates.

But when you guys experience the odd noise, they don't. Which sounds like a problem, except no lights come on to indicate a problem with the system.

Correct , there is only a very faint tone

The duration of the tone also varies , and is relative to how long you are in a condition that would approach the VSC threshold

For example , I may get a quick pulse of noise if I hit a bump while cornering , while driving through a longer , tight cambered turn the tone may stay audible for the entire corner , and stays on until a second or two after straightening out

 

Have either of you tried turning off the VSC system and replicating the beep? That would eliminate any variables or am I missing something else?

Plus the VSC turns back on at automatically above 30/40 mph.

 

Not if you hold the button for 5 seconds

If you just push the button it comes back on at 35mph
