Yes they are 7" wide. Specs below for 2ng gen steely

    Wheel Part Number: #69459
    2005-2011 Toyota Tacoma
    Size: 16" x 7", 6 Lug, 5.5" Bolt Pattern
    Finish: Silver
Description: 5 Spoke Factory Styled Steel Rims

the spoke also sticks out further then the rim providing what I consider ample rim/valve stem protection. The only downfall I see with them is the lack of being able to weld on typical rock rings for the HD stuff. I'm sure someone could easily custom make some rings for them though.

I love those Runners. Wish they weren't dying off left and right :(

I need to get out this winter, only been out once so far (in South Dakota) but there aren't many places to go near Lincoln, NE and we haven't been able to coordinate a meet yet . . .

    if anybody is interested in the cooper st maxx below is the response from cooper tire to my inquiry for the 255's in this new tire;

Thank you for your interest in Cooper tires. We continuously evaluate our product portfolio and size offerings and are looking at early fall for this size to be available in the Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

4 Banger: Yep a set of 1st Gen alloys would be a nice find (especially at $100 to $200 for a set!).

XXXX: Thanks for the clarification on the stock steel wheel, I guess I cold run them, but might have to paint them to have something a bit different.

Also there IS some hope that Konig could make their good looking Countersteer alloy in 16x7". See my post up 4 or 5 posts.

how are you liking your cooper st's? for me there is just about no way to wait for the st maxx in the fall. after spending 1000km on bad winter roads i'm starting to lean away from the toyo's and with interco sleeping at the wheel on their 255's these (st) might be my choice.

I like them. They are a great all around tire for me. I can't rate them in snow or ice, but pavement, sand and rock they are the cats meow.

So im thinking about getting some of these tires on my 2006 trd O/R
I have 5100's and the front is set at 1.75 with stock springs..
    stock rear height.

What i gather is the rear will fit no prob right?
In the front Do yall think I will have to lift it too the 2.5 setting? I dont want it to ride too rough though....

So whats all this rim talk? going to the gen1 does it suck the wheel and tire in a little for better clearance?

Will a 255 fit in the existing spare location with no modifications?

    Thanks.

Maybe with the exhaust pipe dumper immediately after of before axel. I don't think the exhaust pipe will allow it to fit.

theres two pieces of metal that help keep the spare in place, they are made to fit the stock size spare so you cant fit anything larger without cutting them

Not sure if it's the same or similar on a 2nd gen, but I just unbolted those pieces. Tucks the tire up a little higher and they don't really do much.

Probably similar, I think the 2nd gens bolt on too. I've seen some just trim them instead of removing them completely. Up to whoevers doing it I guess.

I say you'll need basic fender trimming and depending on your caster maybe the cab mount chop based on your 4.5" BS.

I've got 4" BS and I still have rubbing after trimming when the suspension is flexed and my wheels turned.

BTW, I recommend against running a 255/85/16 with a 8" wide wheel and 4" BS.

Might be my wheel choice for some of my basis in that statement. Wheelers steel wheels.

The skinny tire on a fat rim with 4" BS sticks out too far outside the wheel wells. Looks a little goofy for my taste. The wheel lip and valve stems are overly exposed. Again, might be my wheel choice. I've had constant rubbing issues even with trimming and a lift and other people running stock BS on their wheels seem to have no issues. YMMV.
