Firestick is based off of Phoenix so deliver should be quick. I picked up this antena mount and modified it a little to work with my old bed cover. I think someone is producing something similar to this too

Thanks david. Yeah i figured i could get one close and modify it. I didnt think about doing it right there out the back like that. How did it work with the tailgate? Any rubbing? Plus its a teaunue cover not a bed cover like i previously fucked up and said.

 

I've heard of lots of people having problems tuning their firestik and eventually winding up purchasing a different antenna. I went with a Wilson Silver Load FGT from Right Channel Radios for $23. I had absolutely no problems tuning it. Also, don't buy a swr meter if you don't have one, I'll bring mine up with me so we can tune your antenna.

 

I am going with the 3' firestik with the adjustable tuning tip. And awesome jason i would appreciate it if you would bring your meter. And if it sucks tuning and doesnt work the way i want then worst thing i would just buy a different antenna and put the firstick on whits tacoma. She will only really be using when we are driving both trucks to the mountain.

I'm going to talk to my wife about this and see if she wants to go. I thought this was an outdoor camping trip and first and I'm pretty sure my walmart sleeping bag isn't going to cut it in the snow
