Don't worry about it too much, there will be more in the future.

    Doug,

How about a Chevy full size spring heli-arch suspension?

Don't know about that but the main leafs off the donor pack were just 2" short from being on my truck right now... exact width, thickness nearly identical, flawless ARC... Dammit, had to settle for cutting the leafs eliptical to match my totally sacked mains I have now....:(:(

So I did the switch, added the donors now I'm back to 23.5" from top/center/hub to bottom/center/wheel well on both sides so its back to 3"... I got a question tho' Alex , with those Chevy springs being close to fitting , you think that 2" is too much to compensate for with longer shackle ??

It really depends on SOA or SUA and what you're doing with it. It will hold it's arch much much longer than any Toyota pack esp. if it's a z71 used for 4x, towing, and power (speaking in terms of the older style packs that are less than 98'). I'm sure you realize that given you want to set up a leaf pack for the Taco's/pre-taco's. But if you want to run that pack with a shackle then I think a larger lift in the front would need to be implemented. That pack provides a LOT of lift with very little sagging even after use. I would suggest an SUA with that pack if you plan to do a shackle system.

Shoot, you've beat me, I'm looking for a new job to buy some cheap 2.0 c/o's just to get me on the road. The tuning will come later with the 3.0 or 3.5's for the desert but that's not my concern now... Although I do absolutely love the quiet ride of my Lexus.

I feel you man, but your suspension set up is amazing. I love the luxury of a DD right now. Did you have to sell a few things after you raced the truck in Elsinore? I've been holding off on the the cab cage. I know the second I do that my crap cast lift spindles are going blow apart with the extra weight. Adding fabbed spindles and front suspension rework will put me on jack stands for a solid year to be able to pay to do that. She's at the point where she doesn't break right now.

No I didn't sell anything, I just borrowed the coilovers and haven't picked up a new set so the truck is on jack stands still while I can finally take care of all the little things I've been pushing off. I feel ya on the spindles but if you can go back to stock without sitting too stink bug I would suggest that if you get a cab cage. The stock ones held up just fine for me and I bet I could probably make it a lift spindle if I had a donor truck for a few days.

I'm from Mira Mesa. I'm well aware of the shit that happens...

The worst is when we had our house robbed on Christmas Eve.
