Oregon and Washington BS thread

I've been wanting to do a mod day for a while, but it's been pretty cold and no one has heated space big enough. The hi-lift/tool mount is pretty easy, 1-2 hr. job. The heated mirrors are a little more in depth; $200 +/- in parts (if you want to use the OEM switch) and 5-6 hrs. work. Check out my write-ups and PM me if you have any ???s.

The only other mods I have planned for the near future is SS brake lines and maybe a shackle-flip. I still desperately need to either build or buy some skids too.

This would be my recommendation. The AGM battery will handle a discharged state much better than a standard battery but if you're away for a few months at a time, it might be good to just invest in a high quality charger - a Deltran 2-bank system will be better than a trickle charger and is what I use to keep 2 boat batteries conditioned all winter long. Hook it up with their supplied hookups and forget about it until you come home. Cost me $80 for battery insurance. No need to remove the battery from your truck.

I just helped my buddy move to Puyallup and saw a real nice blue 2nd gen at the rv storage on canyon rd. It had a tire carrier on the rear bumper and I think it was a DBL cab, only got a look from the rear. It was parked there all weekend, just wondering if it was a member.

 

Anyone know how much snow there is at TSF?

 

I went up last Wednesday and some of the trails were slow going with about a foot of snow, especially Archers. They are doing logging so some are plowed. I'm not sure how warm it has been since last week but if it hasn't snowed then there shouldn't be anymore problem.

 

So its not buried under like 5' of snow. I don't plan on going there in the very near future. I'm thinking sometime in late March or early April.
