I got in my truck this morning and it was around 34 degrees. When I started it, the 4wd red light indicator was on. My taco was in 2wd. just below where the green 4wd logo is on the dash is the same logo only in red. After a few minutes the light fades and it was off. I was thinking it was the cold but the past few morning have been a lot colder and it never did that. Any ideas what happened?

Do you have a button for the rear locker? If so it might be pushed in accidently. Just push it and the button should come out.

Not million things. 99.9% sure its the stupid position switch in Diff locker. You can remove it and check it or just replace it.
