I hear ya, white does not give you the depth or reflection you get from a darker color. Of course it's a trade off, the darker the color the more flaws it will show.

If you want to spend a little extra try this wax on white. It will never give you the same POP as a dark color but it does a great job on white.

Take some time and read the reviews.

    stock.........for now
got a question, hopefully not a dumb one. I just bought my 2013 tacoma and was wanting to polish and wax it, but a friend told me i should wait at least 6 month to let the clear coat harden. is this true? or can i polish n wax when whenever. and do i need t take off the old wax before i put on new wax ( and whats the best technique for that)

    thanks
    rook

    Two questions....

I am about to drive cross country yet again and I am looking for a easy way to protect the truck from the trip. I know people say painters tape but is there anything else?

Second question..moving to the Tucson/Sierra Vista area and was curious if anyone could recommend a legitimate detailer.

    Thanks in advance.

You can have paint protection film installed, but you would likely want the truck corrected because any imperfections in the paint would be visible until the film was removed and the scratches polished out. This is more of a permanent option.

I do not know of any personally but this would be a good place to start. If you cant find one, just start a thread on autopia and ask for recommendations.

x2. Plus factory paint is baked on so the same rules for aftermarket paint don't apply.

Hey guys, joined Tacoma world for my 2013 sr5. Loving it so far. Except the making me spend money part. Anyways I digress. I was wondering if anyone could suggest an otc product for removing water spots on glass.? Also if there was a glass sealer u could suggest? I usually wax them but it doesn't last too long. I know it's probably been answered but I can't find it. Thanks again!

I have used the two products in this thread and stopped using all other products to clean and seal the exterior windows on my vehicles and on my home windows. Can be brought on Amazon.

I was gonna post the same link as 95sle. I haven't tried them yet but will when my current stock runs out. I have used Aquapel with good results. Water sheets off very well for about 6 months.

    Hey,

I went through your first few posts, and picked out something from each category. Can you tell me if all these are suitable to use in conjunction with each other? And can you recommend a decent polisher/waxer/buffer preferably under $100? Last time I waxed, it took me 4 hours :( Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer P21S Concours Carnauba Wax Optimum Car Wash 32 oz.
Cotton Chenille Wash Mitt Cobra Guzzler HD Waffle Weave Drying Towel, 16 x 24 inches 303 Aerospace Protectant 16 oz Optimum Power Clean All Purpose Cleaner 17 oz. Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit - G1016 Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer 17 oz.

EDIT: BLACKFIRE Clay Cleaner & Extender -I will use this as my free sample..

And get this.. I also plan on picking up a box of microfiber towels from sams or something, unless you recommend I get something from Autogeek. Anything else I need?
I have a 01 tacoma.. If that changes anything.

    Thanks!

    -Jon

    Jon:
I would only use the Sams clud microfiber on the wheels or in the engine bay. Buy some Cobra Juniors from Autogeek. I would also spend the extra cash and get a Porter Cable XP buffer. Tis is a really nice first buffer that will not break the bank.

I would drop the quik interior detailer and just use the 303 aerospace protectant as it does the same job. I would also just buy a clay bar by itself and a bottle of optimum no rinse as it can be used for clay lube, and a quick detailer. You are going to go through all purpose cleaner pretty quickly, so if it were me I would order a gallon of Meguiars D103 and just dilute it according to what tasks you are doing.
