Gian, I'm going to be out putzing in the garage tomorrow, attempting to install this spare tire mount. More than welcome to pop in if you want to practice drilling sheet metal.

Probably looking at beating down the pinch weld and fixing the blinker relay as well.

Go look at my build thread and give me some suggestions to get the holes to line up better. :p

Although, I think I have to go get another arbor for the hole saw. Something is wrong with the pilot bit and can't figure it out.

Hey Silas, how'd you do your front skidplate bolts? Split ring washer? Have the same issue you have with no access to the bolt heads to be able to tighten them up.

Wow. amazed that the bolt heads hold still. Figured you had a split or star washer in there so they'd stay in place.

Time to plan the Cookie Meet.

Currently looking at the weekend of the 23rd. Let me know which day works better for you guys, Saturday the 23rd or Sunday the 24th. If neither day is good then we can make other arrangements, including multiple meets. Emily would prefer an off road run but a street meet is ok too.

Money is due March 7th so if you can't make it to a meet then we will need to link up before then or I will eat your cookies.:cookiemonster:

Post your input and we will set the details in the next day or so.

I will pm everyone with their amount due this week.

thanks again for supporting Emily's troop.

    Off-road! Off-road! Off-road!

Hey Silas or Cloudy or any other fab guys, looking to get a new baseplate made up for this spare tire mount. I'm ordering some 1" nuts to be welded to a 12"x12"x1/4" plate. Do I care if they are grade 5, grade 8 or other?

Looking at ordering a few of these or similar.

No reason to bother with grade 5 when grade 8's are generally pretty close in price.
