Will 06 Tundra wheels fit my Taco?

    Can I run 2006 17" Tundra wheels with 265-70-17's on my 2004 double cab TRD Taco 4wd with factory suspension?.............................

    Factory backspacing on the tacomas is 4.5"
    Backspacing on the tundra 17" wheels are 5"
    That means the tire will be 1/2" closer to the UCA/frame than whit stock wheels. And by stepping up to 265's, you might be cutting it close.

    But yes...bolt pattern is the same.

    265/70/17's is what the 1st gen tundra, second gen taco, and 4th gen runners came with stock.

    First gen tacos either came with 225/75/15 or 265/70/16.

    Not sure about the 4runner or Tundra, but 2nd gen Tacos come with 265/70/16 or 265/65/17 stock in TRD trim not 265/70/17. SR5 or base 6 lugs come with 245/75/16. [​IMG] ...But that again it is probably irrelevant in a 1st gen forum...:eek:

    GM wheels will not fit a Toyota, the center of the wheel is not bored big enough for the hubs. With that being said a Toyota wheel does fit a GM, not sure about back spacing spec though.
