i will lerk as well for now...cruise moab, T.a.Co. and FJ summit planned for this year so additional trips will be tough to swing but looks like quite the journey...

but while you're down there i would do something like \/....with imogene pass you will be exposed to yankee boy and governor basin as well which has a lot of terrain to explore

    :spy:

should plan that all around FJ summit so i can run with you guys while i'm down there :D

How many people do you expect at that event? Just curious as I'd love to see that area down there when there aren't a million people all over the trails, haha. And that time period was definitely on our radar.

We were also thinking of hitting Schofield Pass on the way back and run through Devils Punchbowl and see/explore the Crystal Mill since it's not often that we can get over to that area.

^^^ I was going to run scholfeild last summer to go see crystal mill and then camp off scholfeild somewhere. I hear the other road running down into crested butte takes forever so scholfeild through devils punchbowl is the quickest option. I might try and make it down there this summer sometime for a long weekend.

Its on my hit list of places to see in colorado!!!

Thanks! I have spent a while working on them. I need to spend some more time taking pictures but that is the problem with all hobbies. This summer I am going to do a good wildflower photography trip somewhere around the time of the FJ summit if anyone wants to meetup.

The little toy is something that I drag around with me. He is very well articulated so it makes it fairly easy to show a couple emotions.

Still some places I want to go, including Crystal Mill, hopefully this summer. I don't know if my truck will be ready by then but I know that my wife's FJ is 99% there :)

Yeah man, I'll have to see if I can have her write something up because it was something her co-worker told her that was simple enough that she makes it from memory. I'll have her type something quick up that I can copy and paste here for you and anyone who wants it. It's so damn yummy!

You'd be suprised how many places a 2wd car will get you with a little throttle. :)

    Hmmm...

It seems that there is a decent amount of interest to make a long weekend trip down to that area this summer. It would be really cool to meetup with the WY crew as Monte is planning to swing that trip down there as well, but it looks like they will be doing it mid-week.

If it is mid-week and people can't make it, then we'll definitely get a long weekend trip planned for CO people. For the most part, it will be stocker friendly, too.

The only part I'm unsure of for a stocker is black bear to imogene passes. However, it would be very easy to caravan a couple trucks up to Ouray and then get down to the start of black bear. After imogene pass we'd end up in Ouray and those that didn't want to do that part can pick up their trucks and join back in or they could spend the day in Ouray for that matter if they wanted, too. Many options could be accomadated for in that area.

I have seen a Geo Metro go up Moody Hill so I know it is possible. But I like my truck to much to cause too much damage to it.

YBB wouldn't be a bad place to go to again either. :) Homepage-5_57fc886156fab32d0c17c2c3da37828ab975d153.jpg

It is in Ouray and it is somewhere around the end of July. I think the 17th-21st or close to that.

ha! sheesh man..you have quite the summer planned! Jealous. Should be awesome.

I wish i could swing Moab again..just don't have a job till summer really

Id love to make more runs while in CO..but i think by the time i get there we will be pushing our limits on alloted time to do stuff  hence the only one trail and maybe the Kokopelli on the way back..but i doubt we can do the Kokopelli. Save it for next year.

damn you CO and your epic winters for awesome snow and green mountains!

    looks purty :)

You should edit your plans and just do one part in WY and then a whole week in CO...I don't think you'd regret it...

    just sayin... :D
