So thats what I saw!!! Ive been seeing one of these, but with a lift and monster wheels. And debadged. That front Valance gaurd and fender flares are fugly!! Actually everything they put on it is fugly and gay! Only the leather seats are what I would keep.

 

i liked the other xsp tacomas with the 20's.. this is just a little out of hand. the older xsp used a reg scooped hood also. theres toyota just trying to save a buck or two.. just my .02

It's not technically Toyota factory.

It's the hillbillies that run the Southeast distributorship.

 

This isn't just a dealership.

It is an orderable option from any Toyota dealership in the Gulf States territory. Same for the Texas Special.

Seriously, I don't know why Gulf States even exists anymore. When all Toyotas were made in Japan, they were the importer for the Gulf area. Now, they are simply a distributor.
It causes a lot of confusion and E-Fights because someone with a GS package describes it and someone from elsewhere tells them they got ripped off and the truck isn't really new.

We saw a bit of this butthurt a few weeks ago when someone was ripping on Toyota for not allowing his city to configure a truck, instead directing him to Gulf States.

do they even start w/ a TRD O/R or sport? or is this simply an SR5 with some things on it?

I feel like this truck could save some face if they at least color matched grill

 

some people have "made" theyre trd sport into xsp's by just adding the rims (supposedly they claim that) idk

As mentioned, it is the XSP-X package offered in Southeast Toyota. They throw on a crazy sticker like the BAJA, LED daytime running lights separate from stock (located below the headlight in the filler area), a stick on hood scoop, rims and tires, basically color matched bushwacker flares, and an exhaust tip...on the inside, there are leather seats with custom XSP-X embroidery, carbon fiber wrapped dash kit, and I think that's all...

Truck sells for about $37k, about the same as a BAJA.i do not believe it is an off road, as a poster here was showing pics of his, and I couldn't see a "RR DIFF LOCK" button. Not a sport, because it doesn't have color matched accessories. Honestly, just a greatly overpriced SR5

They are okay, just not my cup of tea...

 

The voice on that promotional video is awful. It sounds forced, lol. Why are they promoting carpet mats? I figured most people would rather have custom fit plastic mats that hold water/snow/mud. The stick-on scoop and fender flares are hideous.
