I was just looking at these. I'm thinking of picking up a set, but I'm unsure of how their secondary shock system works on these.

Unfortunately, I don't think many people have these. I did a google search to get more info on these, and this is the first thread that popped up.

BAMF's LCA skids are 1/4" and you only need to enlarge one of the wholes. Think his are 145 for bare metal.

Plus he is having a 30% off sale starting Monday.

Those are cool but better off getting the BAMF skid or new lowers like tc or Lsk with a secondary mount

Thought about doing TC or LSK lowers...but I don't get too crazy offroad, and ~$200 sounds a whole lot better than +$1000.

And if I order from BAMF on Monday, I'll probably receive them in August :pout:

Icon is like...20 miles from me, and I can pick them up. Plus, I have all Icon gear on my truck as it is.

This is the S2, it is made to pair with a set of secondary shocks, no other LCA skid will do that, but these are only needed if planning on running an icon secondary shock

I never understood LCA skids. They're just stupid. Same as diff skids. You're adding protection to a part of the truck that needs no protection. Just extra hangup material. The factory arms are plenty strong for anything short of long travel usage anyway.

I beg to differ...I've bent one before and my friend is currently looking for a driver's side LCA because his is bent. Caster goes right out the window every time I go to Ocotillo Wells.

On that note, if BAMF will ship them soon, I'll go with those. Powdercoated and shipped for $150 sounds like a sweet deal. Thanks for the link to that post

Neither of which will be affected by attaching a metal plate to the bottom of the LCA.

If you're playing in kitty boxes or doing high speed stuff without the proper equipment then yes, you're going to get damage.

Was merely explaining why I thought the factory arms are rather weak. Obviously a skid wont help that...gusseted arms are the way to go if you plan on woops and jumps and shit.

And ask ANYBODY who has EVER wheeled with me if I take risks or do things that will potentially damage my parts...never happens with me. She's my daily driver so I take extra precautions when I'm out there.

I just got these and they arrive today. I've been looking at BAMF for a while and almost got them. Honestly the only thing that changed my mind was the Icon emblem on it and I wanted to stay all Icon parts. Stupid reason... maybe. It is my daily driver and I never take huge risks because of this, but I'm a sucker for any type of armor I can stick on the truck. Those grocery store shopping carts are sneaky :spy:

I read the description and it says it's one of 3 parts you need to buy to get a secondary to work. I wonder if one of the other 2 parts is their new LCA

    2. ICON Bypass Shock (Another Brand As Well) Thats NOT Icon recommended
    3. TC Shock Hoop
    4. Weld on another tab to stock LCA?

I believe thats the 3 parts you'd need?

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
Matt, would you please stop building my truck before I do?
I swear, you and I are on the exact same track. Except that one of us has money, and the other of us has kids. :D

The 3 parts are the LCA skid, shock tower/secondary mount and the secondary shock itself!

    Post some pics mounted guys!

Also, 3/16 is still pretty thick....my AP skids are too and I've beat the hell out of them with minimal dents!

    ding ding ding!

I've seen the Modular S2 setup in person. It's just the skid, secondary shock/resi, and the mount for it. Combined with my Icon ext. travel C/O's and AP uniballs, I will be the kind of mid-travel
