Endless search for pics... FJ Anthracite TT for Spruce Mica 2013

Search exhausted. Resorting to new post. Anyone seen, have pics of or opinion on the anthracite FJ wheels for a spruce mica tacoma?

Lift is going on this weekend and I really want to make the FJ wheels work.

 

Do you have the wheels? I heard they are almost impossible to find.. I think both the anthracite and the black TT wheels would look good on the spruce taco..

Yes, they will fit, they will stick out a bit more than Tacoma's OEM wheels.

I'm not sure about tire size as it is not my truck, but it belongs to a member on TW. Follow those links and PM the guy.

 

Looks like 265/75/16 GoodYear DuraTrac. You may be searching for the wrong thing. These are not Trail Teams. Trail Teams are black. Anthracites are from the FJ SE that was discontinued a couple of years ago. Some dealerships powdercoat the silver ones and sell them on ebay. Originals are a bit difficult to find anymore. Type in "fj anthracite" on ebay. Not sure if those listed are originals. He needs to put up the part number on the box. The ones for $995 are powdercoated rims. Here is the link on ebay for the section.

I have them. The look the best with DuraTracs in my opinion.

 

Well, just got off the phone with my dealer. I had given them part #PT904-35071 and was told the computer listed NO restrictions on ordering. They did, however, come up as gun-metal grey, and not anthracite. Should be the right ones. They also said there was another set restricted to service replacement only and that you have to return the old wheel to get the new. Hmmm, not sure what that was. Hard to tell without pics. Anyways, I should have my answer on Monday. Fingers crossed...

 

The service restricted wheels are more than likely the black TT wheels.

 

Gunmetal Grey is the correct one. Dealer here scratched one of my rims and it caused a huge crap storm trying to replace it. At first there was no problem, then Toyota (not dealer) wouldn't do it without proof (original boxes with part number) they were real and not powdercoats. Hope it works out for you. They look good with your color truck.

Well, two more dealers said no dice. They cannot order with VINs, pics, blah blah blah. Funny thing is that one of them said they could only order two at a time.

Best I could get is a set of the silver wheels. Maybe I should just pull the trigger then go have em resprayed whatever color I want.

 

^^Hate to hear that. I would have gone the ebay route if hadn't found the ones I got, and that was a fluke.^^

 

I like the silver ones..and was about to pull the trigger on a set. I went in to order them and asked to check the pn for the black and Anthracite "just in case" .. A few keystrokes later and the parts guy said the Anthracite were available, so I ordered right then.

 

I have called a few dealers with no luck. Today's call to another yielded a "I'll go ahead and place the order for the gunmetal version. Should be here Friday or Monday". I am really hoping that order goes through since their computers do not list the requirement for fj vin. May not get flagged until it hits the port. Good luck to us all.

 

Its an official no-go. Dealer placed the order but toyota canceled it. Service replacement only.
