Oh ok. Yeah I did my own but I'm interested to see the light output diff between the mini h1 and the fx-r

 

It's all about a quality product. U buy a $60 eBay hid kit and u most likely bought pure crap! U buy a $200+ hid kit and u most likely bought a very quality product

yeah, I thought about trying it myself, but with the cutting you have to do for the fx-r I decided to just let him do it! He does a great job, but the lead times are starting to grow. Luckily I jumped on it when he first started them.

 

That's true to an extent. Even well-made HIDs are simply more prone to failure than a good old fashioned halogen or incandescent bulb, though, they have ballasts that can break, and if it does break, the fix isn't a $2 bulb.

To be clear, in a car I wouldn't give it a second thought. It's worth bearing in mind in a truck you intend to offroad though.

 

On a side note... My skids finally shipped! Took about 6-7 weeks... Went with the relentless skids. I have never bought anything from them, but people love his stuff, so I will find out for myself next week when they arrive.

 

stout! that is all i can say about mine. STOUT!! went through a creek/river with some moss covered rocks that was causing a bit of a traction issue and bounced the ifs skid off a nice sized boulder when i got traction and dropped off a ledge. people on both banks heard the hit and i felt it quite well........ long story short, didnt dent or even gouge the skid. so that is why i say STOUT!!

 

Good to know! I saw someone else that hit a huge rock with theirs and it barely left a mark and he said he was going pretty fast when he hit it.

Yeah I agree. My ifs skid is stout as fuck! Covers just the right amount and looks well constructed.

I decided on the demello. I've looked into both bumpers and have seen positive things about both. the only real negative thing I've heard about shrockworks is the customer service and shipping. I thought about it hard and I like the look of demello better. I even had the choice of getting a new arb bumper at cost but arb has no recovery points on it?.... Fail on arb account, if you ask me.

 

What do we have there? I know they make diff covers, etc... But I didn't know they did anything for toyotas...

 

Cool, hopefully they turn their stuff around faster than shrockworks.
