I like how he quoted my entire original post and didn't catch that :p

    So what I've leaned:
    People can't read :D
And no one has an answer to the resistor question...

I believe its 1 watt 100 ohm resistor soldered to both ends of the LED bulb, not 100% though..

I'm glad our fellow TW members were quickly able to point out others mistakes!

    BTW, this is the bulb,
    http://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-bulbs/de3175-led-bulb-4-smd-led-festoon/238/

I'm willing to try a few options with the resistors, not an electrical guru but I'm pretty good at soldering.

I just feel like someone has done this before...

I've got a few of those LEDs laying around. I'm going to try out the resistor thing tomorrow and see what I can come up with

I believe it is a resistor thing with some (maybe not all ) LED's, get with csjumper2003 (chris) & ask him , he's very knowledgeable & doesn't mind answering some Q&A...

    Very resourceful. Nice work.

You are a better man than me. I ended up pulling the spindles off the truck and having a shop press out the old bj and press in the new slugs.

I have the panel LED's installed and one festoon. I have 1 watt 100 ohm resisters on both the panels and it's still not enough resistance. I will post when i get a configuration that works.

Just FYI for anyone else doing this, if you have the spindles off the truck you can set the spindle in a vice and pound out the ball joint. Set the spindle in the vice so its resting on top but open it enough so the ball joint slides out in between the jaws. The old ball joint doesn't matter so just pound it out. Flip the spindle over (you will need a 2nd set of hands to help hold) and pound the slug in from the back side. Super easy, free, and not dangerous

    Too few to list.
Took off my tailgate and spare tire today to shave some weight with today's gas prices. Also cleaned out the cab with stuff that doesn't need to be there. Probably 100lbs or so total. I just hope I don't get a flat but that's what AAA is for.

Changed out my fluids yesterday. Did the front/rear diffs, transmission, and transfer case.

Still need to drain and refill the brake fluid b/c it looks pretty nasty. What's the best way to do it? Just open the bleeder valve at one of the wheels and let it all run out? Then pour in the new stuff under the hood?
