I forgot to mention it yesterday, but I have a pair of new Thule load bars (I think 58") that anybody who wants them can take. I ordered and payed for one pair last year, but they sent me two pairs. They said because shipping would cost too much to ship them back, I should just keep them. So whoever wants to pick them up can have them free of charge! First come first serve!

I also have a cheapo reverse camera that someone can have. But you need a head unit with a reverse video signal in. Again, free! Just pick it up :)

Howzit bro! My girlfriend loves her 05 LE frontier..

But I LOVE my 4x4 2011 Tacoma. It allows me to really "go places" haha.. I paid 29,000 for it used with 11,000 miles on it. But mines is a crew cab.

My dad just bought a 05 access cab 4x4 base model(manual everything, stick shift) with 80,000 for about 13,000 for hunting and errands around town.

    Tacomas are kind of expensive..

Howzit everybody! I'm on Oahu and I just got a 2013 TRD SPORT DCLB. I want to put a 3" lift on and bigger badder tires but I have absolutely no experience. I was looking for suggestions from local bruddahs and sistahs on what kind of lift kits, tires, and wheels to get since you guys know the Hawaii terrain better. I'm looking to save up about $4k-$5k for this project. Probably gonna do a lot of on-road driving with some minor kine off-roading. I like the Nitto Trail Grapplers and FN BFD's. Those look mean! And also a place to get all the parts installed. (4 Wheel Parts? Maui Off Road?) Any type of suggestion or pointing me in the right direction will be much appreciated. Mahalos

For what it's worth I payed $24k out the door for my pro4x 2wd crew cab auto brand new. If I could have afforded a taco, I probably would have gotten one, with a stick :)

5100's + AAL & OME are usally the most common...depending what it is can help determine where you want to order it from.

http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/ is full of specific application info.

could save a bit of money on labor if you DIY

Ya I like my frontier but the tacos are really growing on me.. I did a 2.5" leveling kit with some 32" terra grapplers and frik stock sports/OR are sitting just as high!
If I can get everything OTD for 30k or less I don't think the boss would say no..

Wheels and tires alone are looking at 2.5-3k right there. You can get a 3"lift for anywhere from $250 and upwards of 3k+. Toytecs ultimate lift kit would probably be good for you while keeping your budget.

Much mahalos for pointing me in the right direction! How does a lift affect the truck warranty and can still get safety check with a 3" lift?

Should be able to pass safety with 3" but if not all you have to do is get it inspected with RECON. And It will not mess with your warranty unless the part causes a direct malfunction that Toyota can prove. They can not just void your warranty for installing an aftermarket part. But the extended warranties the dealer offers (that take over when your factory warranty is over) can and will be voided if you install aftermarket parts.
