Headlamp Lens Removal

I was curious how to remove the clear lens from the headlamp assembly? How are they adhered to the backing? Glue, silicone, screws??? I have seen write-ups on retrofits w/ them removed but no clear description how to do this? Pics and instructions would be much appreciated.

 

bump?? anyone?? I know how to disassemble the entire headlamp just not sure how to get to the guts/removing the clears lens on the front

Awesome!! Thanks man. I couldn't find anything on this for the life of me. Cardboard in the oven though!! That just seems like a disaster waiting to happen but I might give this a shot lol.

 

Trust me, use the cardboard. I've used that method plenty of times to do my headlight mod and again when I did my retrofit. At that temp, nothing happens but if you put the light on the metal rack, it'll melt and you will have ruined a set of lights.

 

My LED's are in and I am headed to get some wires to solder to the section I need to cut based on how long I want the LEDs to run along the bottom of my headlights. Also, going to grab some heat shrinks, electrical tape, silicone, quick disconnects for the wires that come out of the back of the headlights. I will post a write-up and pics when I am finished.
