It gives the eye a chance to relax and return to its natural shape; not the shape the contact makes it assume.

Did it the nicest way I could. For the record I work in IT every day for small to medium sized businesses. I do work on Windows, Mac, and different flavors of Linux.

Before Blake starts his "they last longer" argument, read this link about warranty repairs by the largest warranty company. Macs are almost as reliable as a Dell.

Thanks. My dad does IT work and plays with Linux and Windows. A couple of his coworkers said a MacBook Air would fit my needs. Just asking for opinions and other suggestions.

Do you even have a hardware requirements sheet yet? What exactly are your "needs"?

Something reliable that'll run basic Microsoft office programs so I can write papers, compare data, and take notes. I'll need internet capabilities for research. I want to stay away from Windows 8 and have something that'll last for 4-6 years because I plan on doing grad school right after I get a bachelors degree.

Despite my dad being an IT guy, I'm fairly technologically illiterate. Something fairly easy to work with and maintain would be nice as well.
