Why is there such a big angle?

Not sure, but it doesn't bother me. The mounting holes in the engine bay are angled a little more/less than 90 deg. I had a plexiglass mount bent to 90 deg before and it was angled up too. The way I see it, it's better should any moisture get on there it won't pool up. Then of course there's the chance I did something wrong.

The reason I bought this was because the one I made was angled, when I put this one in it sat flush, or flat. I'm just wondering how that happened, and I've gotten more issues of moisture coming from the top then the bottom

Hmmm, yea Sean the panel should sit flush with the OEM fuse box. The bend in the panel isn't 90 to make up for the angle of the fender. If you are still having issues with it fitting right, shoot me a PM. Where did you mount the bracket to the truck at?

Thanks for the pics! Looking good. What isolator are you going with for the dual setup?

Blue Sea System, I was wondering if you could make like an underneath compartment to go along with this,

I mounted the bracket to the inboard mount of the factory fuse box, underneath its plastic foot. That may have pushed the angle up a little bit. In my pics and in person, the angle looked pretty close to 90, but it really doesn't bother me, I'm more for function over looks. I don't know if anythings different with my 2010 trd sport either. Overall, I'm very happy with the whole system. Sure beats my poorly DIY-fabbed plexiglass mount.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma

What fuse box is that? Does it come that way or is it in a special box?

I read through this but I cannot tell. Have you made on of these for a 2012 yet? I have a baja but that starts off as a OR.

Been talking with the guy thats building them there good to go for the 2012's, they bolt where the clutch fluid is for the manuals I think, so as long as ur and automatic you should be fine

That's probably possible, but would be a huge pain for installing something in that space. Especially if you needed to get to it later. I would try and find another location for the isolator.

Yep! My second batch has been cut. I'm on vacation this coming week (hittin the hills of CO for a little snow sesh) but I will be getting them to the powder coater wheni get back. I will be updating my list to include the interested parties for this batch as well. Once that is done and I verify interest with those on the list, I'll request payment.

This round, and for future orders, I will be powder coating all of the panels that have the breaker and fuse panel hole patterns pre-drilled. My logic here is that these panels will likely not have further holes drilled in them that might scratch the powder coat (if you aren't careful with drilling). Therefore, it will be powder coated already and you can just bolt up your hardware and install.

All the blank panels will come just blasted unless you specifically want PC.

Black PC will add $15 to the cost of the panel. I think this is actually a really good price as I've had others tell me that getting it done alone on their end was $20+ (I really like this PC guy I'm working with, he does solid work inexpensively. Had my Brute Force rear bumper done by him and it turned out awesome!)

So here is the current price break down:

Option 1: panel with pre-drilled hole patterns for Blue Sea 5026 fuse block and Blue Sea model 187 surface mount breaker and powder coated black - $75 shipped inside US

Option 2: blank panel with mounting holes only and bead blasted finish - $60 Shipped inside US

Option 3: custom hole patterns drilled based on customer providing hole pattern dimensions of desired hardware - $65 shipped inside US

    Add ons:

Support bracket including black powder coating - $7

Black powder coating if your panel doesn't already come with it - $15

I will be doing a big update on this thread soon to reflect new options, pricing, and pictures.

Also in the works is a new panel for autos with ATRAC/VSC! Next up, designing a clean panel to fit around that pesky clutch reservoir for the manuals.

I shot you a PM, but I'll reply here too. If the existing panels won't work for a 12+ 5AT with A-TRAC, consider me your first customer for the new panel.

Does your bracket not fit this? I have Atrac in an Auto. It looks like it will be close.

Mine looks the same way. I think I am going to trim it a bit to fit.

I have an ATRAC model in the works right now. I am working with a member here to get the fit right, so that model will be ready very soon.
