Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
I'll post a more involved write-up here, if there's interest. In the meantime, I leave you with the link:

    $30 Stealth Snorkel

It's still a work in progress, as I need to address the airflow fight between the engine intake and the cabin fresh-air intake, as well as experiment with different noise control methods.

Got a dewalt 18 volt impact wrench for my b-day! Actually I got a gift card and found at lowes that if you buy an 18volt drill with charger included and also get the dewalt impact driver without the battery it is cheaper buy 80 bucks than buying the impact with battery.
The driver has enough torque to get the lugs off and then on three tires on my taco before the battery gets low.
Talk about quick and easy pit stop tire changes.
I also can now stop in any weather to help old ladies and pregnant women with flat tires!
Helped an old ,old man and got two free hunts from his guid service.

Nit a mod but a great product to add to any truck. It fits behind the seat along with an extra battery and a six pack of common deep well impact sockets.
    :):D;)

Please don't get the desalt from Home Depot or lowes, because the quality of the drill from there is not good! Go to a supply house or from dewalt site! Because way back I talk to a sales rep. They told me because those store want to sell it cheap, and dewalt make a cheap one for them

Sounds like a hell of a way for a supply house to justify markup over their competition. I bought my 12v Dewalt MAX kit from HD and used it daily as an electrician and never had a single hiccup from anything out of that kit. The impact was used all day every day and I used it for chores that I should have grabbed my 20v impact for and the only difference was slightly slower work and quicker drained batteries. If supply houses truly have a better product you would never have to buy another set again even in construction because nothing would ever fail.

There's an entire thread/section for these discussions though so let's not drag this off topic.

Same experience here . I own stock in both lowes and hd . But have desalt tools from both a supply house and the DIY stores . Use them every day on no sites and on my beloved taco . No difference on quality. Black and decker makes em all the same.

Dont kid yourselves. I know someone who is a regional manager for HD, they absolutely negotiate for cheaper products (not just tools) and do not care if quality gets compromised for it. It is not just HD that does it. Look up what is called the Walmart effect. Its subtle differences that are made that the normal person is unaware of, (EX: plastic parts like gears inside instead of metal, cast engines or motors). The tools may work fine but the quality does not stand up over time.

HD does not have regional managers that deal with pricing…
they have regional VPs and even them dont really deal with pricing besides some ocational regional special pricing (this gets done regardless of cost)
HD's cost/retail pricing negotiations gets done at the buyer level in atlanta at their H-Office…
and although quality does gets the shaft sometimes, Big boxes like HD, Sears, Lowes etc are able to keep their prices down vs smaller retailers just because of the sheer sales volume and customer traffic (example: you go to lowes to buy a drill and the chances are really high that u going to end up buying those batteries for your kids toys, that bulb the wife asked you to get, and maybe you'll get some shop towels too cuz you are running low...etc)….. while a stand-alone DeWalt store sale $5000 of tools goods per week, a single big-box store can sale $2000 per day (including sundays which most stand alone dont open on) then add all their other crap you most likely end up getting…. then add online sales
most of the time the only difference is the combos…. big boxes get exclusive packages deals not the the tool itself…

Go buy a Dewalt 20v brushless impact from HD and then go to a local supply store and buy the same drill. Disassemble them both and SHOW me the differences. Until then, I'm done listening to this BS because I've seen first hand what they can do in my hands and that of those I worked with. Go follow an electrician for a day and see how they treat the drill they keep on their belt (and any tool for that matter) and then tell me if you think they're qualified to speak to a tools durability. All the unfounded conspiracy theories that bandy about the internet because 'a guy heard it from a guy who heard it from a buy so it must be true' BS can walk.

Did you know Glocks can make it through metal detectors airports too? lol

I personally worked for dewalt for over two years. What I said in my previous post stands . They make the Same product for every body but NASA and the army.

I was a safety officer at a production oversight / quality control for overseas assembily team .

Couldn't find 886 halogens so I tried 885s . They worked great. Also the replacement lights for a baja off road light are also halagen and are a few bucks cheaper. Look like they would also work . I'll try them in my work taco and see.

Had the exact spare parts laying around, quick splice & 6" wire with female blade connector already installed so took the 5 mins to do the upgrade. Works perfect as stated! Thanks for the write-up on this piercedtiger!
