Waiting on the Coast Guard recruiter to call me, he said he'd call by 12:00 PM, so he's an hour late on that. Probably busy. Would it be rude for me to call them instead?

I'm debating the same thing on a job interview. When I gave them my resume it had my old phone number on it, so she emailed me that she tried calling but needs my new phone number so we can discuss. That was Tuesday and she hasn't called me back yet. Not sure if I should call her or just wait it out.

I had given them my house phone number, not my cellphone. Apparently, they called last night to set up an appointment while I was gone- I had no idea they were going to be calling. My sister answered the phone, and told me when I got home that they would be calling sometime today before 12. They still haven't.

Well, I called twice, and got a recording both times. It pretty much said that either office hours were over (which the aren't,) or they were busy with other hopeful recruits. I guess they are busy. I'm going to call again in a little while.

 

Renewable energy? But still, Id imagine there was oil used in the creation of all the plastic and shit.

Oh, I forgot- pulled my Taco into the garage last night with the 4-wheeler and started tearing him down. Incidentally, I posted a "Build Thread" for the sake of keeping track of our progress on the truck.

The Tesla's are bad as fuck...

I know some people have their own opinions on alternative fuels, but the Tesla's are very quick on take-off and their interiors are super clean.


Not to mention that they are manufactured here, in CA, bringing jobs to Californians. There was a point where they were hiring over 100 a month.

A buddy of mine is an engineer there... He calls it Stressla.

 

Buying and driving a Hummer is more environmentally friendly than buying any hybrid/electric car. The batteries in an electric car rape the environment and seeing as most of those batteries are not expected to last over 100,000 miles, you have to buy three hybrids to get the expected life of one fuel powered vehicle.

Go onto Google Earth and type in Sudbury, Ontario

The town where they mine and process nickel to be used in those batteries, check out that carnage. NASA even tests their moon rovers around the smelting plant due to there being no life for miles.

 

Steam powered is definitely the way to go.
