How much did the quart of paint cost you? I have a good compressor but I need to buy a HVLP gun to practice.

It was $50 which I thought was pretty steep but I've done my mirrors, door handles and rear bumper and still have a little less than half of the quart left.....so it covers pretty well.....do yourself a favor and buy a good gun bc I bought a brand new off brand gun from ppg for around $100 and it sucks I literally can't use it.....on the other hand my sata jet rocks but its about a $400 gun hence I bought mine used hehe

Ya, that definitely looks way better then the black.

I cant wait to get my mirrors and handles done. I have been playing with the idea of painting my roof rack (not the cross bars, just the lateral base).

Great write up and the final results came out looking fantastic. This on my to do list for upgrades.

How far were you able to break the mirror down? Were you able to remove the frame member from the mirror shell, and just end up with the housing? Or did you have to mask the black frame member and mirror frame interior?

How much did SW charge you for the paint? I’m going to paint a camper shell to match silver streak mica.
