nice to add to this old thread, but yes..having the same issues in my 2014 DCLB with 8500 miles. Front passenger seat rattles (does not have the fold flat feature, its a sport). It rattles where the seatbelt latch connects to the hinge of the seat and started at about 4k miles. Annoying as hell because it will stop if you put some weight on the seat.
Brought it to get it checked at the dealer today during my 2nd service, they easily replicated it then compared it to another 2014.
He basically said if it sounds like this on another 2014, then its a characteristic of the truck that they cannot fix. Lucky for me, it didn't happen on the other truck, so a new seat is being ordered for me! I just hope they install it right. It's an expensive warranty claim that they had to open a ticket with toyota corporate.

I also have issues with the weather seals making squishy sticky sounds when driving. I can make the sound with my hand moving it around also. Dealer heard it and replaced the entire stripping. Sad to say the sound is still there so it must just be a "characteristic" of tacomas.

I'm hoping the new seat will be a good fix. Other than that..cabin rattles as is should..doors and panels rattle here and there.

After getting a new stereo installed... My AC controls rattle a ton. Drives me nuts. The wife thinks I'm crazy, but I plan to pull it out and put dyno or padding somewhere to fix it

Take it out and make sure all the clips are still on it. Lots of times the stereo dildo's don't know how to replace those clips when they break/loose them and it creates a lot of rattles.

That's what I see the most. I ended up buying a pack of 100 clips to replace the broken ones I find.

I have a rattle when the engine is idle when I'm going a few mph in parking lots, leaving gas station, etc... it appears to be coming from the roof in the middle back of the cab.

Wondering if there's a way to pull it down and add some padding in there to prevent it. It's extremely irritating to my OCD. I hate rattles.

Any ideas on the roof panel?

Sound deaden the roof should help with that. If you don't want to go through all that work you could just pull the side down and add foam like you were saying. It may create more rattles elsewhere in the roof when you do that however.

How do I sound deaden the roof? hahaha. it's like in the back middle. I could probably side in from the back top near the sliding window. If I push up most of that sound sticks. That and I need to fix the rattle behind the AC controls. Stupid stereo people probably broke a clip. Think I'll do both today. Any materials you'd recommend?

Oh and for anyone looking for nuts n bolts for our tacomas... this place has EVERYTHING.

Here is a write up on how to do it. I recommend RaamAudio's sound deadener.

Otherwise for the roof just use foam to make it stiffer.

Yes sir. I have a 2012 OR. And unfortunately do suffer from the Taco rattles inside the cabin. I mostly get them from behind dash wiring harness shakes. Also B pillar creaks (creeks?)I generally have to run about 31psi on my 285/75/16s KO2s to reduce the rattles. I'll live with it. I think a large amount of plastic used in our trucks is the main cause. But I still love driving my Taco!!

Fixed all my rattles except the roof. That's next

I have some of the same issues. The rattle in my passenger seat seems to be in the seat back hinge. There's got to be a way to tighten that up a bit.
What about your stripping, I noticed mine is coming undone around the rear windows on the outside...do you have the part number for the weather stripping, or are there numerous part numbers?
