LED light bar in the lower grill. Trailer plug relocate. Auxiliary reverse LED's wired in to be manual or auto on when in reverse.
I completed the trailer plug relocate mod following this thread; http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/6.../180437-trailer-harness-relocation-diy-2.html
One thing I did try to do different on the relocate (since I made a new hole not modifying the existing license plate light hole) was to heat the plastic of the plug mount to give it some curve to match the curve of the bumper in the location I placed it. One caveat with heating the plastic. While it does allow it to be re-shaped somewhat, be aware, if heated too much after it cools the plastic can become brittle.

Then I wired up some auxiliary reverse LEDs with the help of this thread; http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lighting/219984-wiring-reverse-lights-2nd-gen-how.html
Great write ups, using them as reference made it very easy.
I think it was a fairly productive day.

Used to have this little guy hanging from the rear-view mirror in my old car, little rubber shrunken head. Found it today in a box and a little snip and a zip tie later, he sits nicely on the hitch ball.

    LOL

Back when I had my 91 I found this random little rubber King Kong figure that fit perfectly on my drop hitch and trailer ball. Was hilarious looking; I was told by people (friends) behind me that going down the road is arms wiggled and waived all over the place because of the wind, lol

    Bed Divider
I did this a while ago but I did touchup the paint today, it would seem I need to build to get what I want lie my light bar http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lig...a-stealth.html This time I wanted a divider I could pop out in seconds without tools but sturdy enough to keep things in place and Toyota here wants a mint! After sitting in the box for an hour with pencil and paper I finally found the way!

The blue anodized cam locks sinch the sliding mounting tabs that run thru the slots machined in the factory side rails. This slots are machined top and bottom and the tab passes thru both giving it strenth and vertical stability. The tab actually ends up under the bed rail cap. By clamping low leverage is reduced and the bottom of the divider does not move.

Here you see the sliding tab details, stainless hardware of course [IMG] There is about 2-1/2 - 3 inches travel in the slide allowing it to drop far enough to clear the tiedown cleats on the rail. Note also the nylon washer on the cam side to prevent gauling of the cam

Here is the tab in the released position

Tab in and locked on passenger side

And drivers side locked and loaded

Now all my stuff is were I left it and If I had paid for all the metal still cheap but I got it for nothing and the cams were only $10!

On the long drive home, didn't notice any vibs...It had a slight pull to the right on the highway which is expected, i'll get getting an alignment soon.

Took initial measurements, but there is a bit of a load, so i'll clear out everything and let it settle before posting the findings.
