    Just an FYI, anybody doing the BAMF rear shock relocation setup, the 2.5 will NOT fit!! Gotta use the 2.0 series shocks

    Unless the upper bracket is redesigned....

    Yeah, the body on the 2.5 wont allow enough movement, waay too tight. Also the top mount hits the bracket and wont allow the bolt to go in either.

    The bracket would need to be wider and the bolt hole would need more clearance above for the body to fit...the kid who's truck it is told me that he was told they "should" fit... thats a big NEGATIVE.

    Jerry would need to make brackets specifically for that or make the current ones like I mentioned in order to work.

    Kinda sucks for me too, slammed with work and now a hiccup....:eek:

    I wonder why that style is being adopted more than the hoops. Seems to me the hoops would be easier and possibly cheaper to make.

    Yeah something with more clearance would simply be more flexible as far as shocks and mounting options, the bracket might be stronger simply due to the fact that it has 3 sides mounted (left right and rear), but who knows, plenty of guys running hoops with no issues as well.

    And most likely cheaper since it would just be tube and tabs, not laser or waterjet cut and all the assembly time as well...it would just need to be pretty beefy.

    Nope, just 12ers, lol.
    And glad you got that flame under control!

    Holy cow, 14 PMs just today alone! Good stuff, gonna be a busy fella. Woot!

    I think the biggest thing is like Jerry at BAMF said, they've seen hoops flex a bit under pressure...claiming his kit will not flex. I will be installing his kit soon :D

    Sure I can totally see that on higher hoops. As low as this kit sits, I can't see hoops that size flexing much at all.

    My towers won't flex, the frame would flex inwards before the towers themselves do.

    I am not a fan of hoops without a crossbar, or it would at least a rear strut to triangulate (I only overbuild stuff if you know how I roll you would understand)

    If they are short it might be fine with large enough tubing, but still like a 3 sided mount.

    Not a fan. Wouldnt do that on my rig, but what do I know, lol. I beat the shit outta stuff and I would not feel comfortable with that.

    Heres a pic of the BAMF mount and 2.5s, not nearly enough wiggle room and just wont bolt up

    Damn and they bought brand new 2.5's. That truly sucks for them.

    Just a quick cross bracing between hoops that hi would be more than fine.

    Jeff I know you don't want holes int he bed, but for a cross tube you are looking at a 2" round hole for the tube to cross from side to side. Something like that can be plugged up later down the road.
