    Anybody got a buffer? I'm thinking about debadging at the mod day but I'm wondering if a buffer would help it not look so bad around where the badges come off. I've never used one before

    I've got a buffer and polishing compounds but I wouldn't be able to help you out til June. :p If you can't locate someone by then I'll be glad to buff the badge areas out for you.

    A buffer won't fix the faded paint, but it will make it less noticable by polishing up the surrounding clear coat and correct any surface marring caused by the debadging itself. With your truck being red, and a first gen I suspect that there without a doubt will be some noticable "shadows" left by your badges. So take that into consideration!

    My 2012 had SLIGHT shadows from my badges after a year of sun exposure.

    yeah thats why im so nervous to do it :confused:. i may also bring out my sockmonkey bedside decals and swap those... im hoping theres no color difference under those as well. they have been on for about two years by now im guessing.
