I have a thread in the 2nd gen section describing my experience with this intake, I love it but after spending about 12 hours in the truck on a trip my wife decided she doesn't like the sound so I'm selling it.

It is used but 100% complete, I got it from my neighbor after he wrecked his truck and paid/traded for it. I have the box and I think everything that came with it originally.

Asking $250 local, $275 shipped. This is also going to be on craigslist.

Would also trade for an Avid lightbar or a set of 5100's.

I'll add pictures of the pieces once I uninstall it.

Just to add this, afe has incredible customer service! There's a double threaded rubber isolator you install and when you do,make sure it's only finger tight and put anti seize on it first. I forgot to do that and couldn't unscrew the isolator.

Before doing anything radical to try to get it removed I emailed afe and asked them if it was possible to buy just that part. I gave the my address and an hour later got a shipping notification from FedEx, afe never responded to my email but shipped out the replacement piece for free!

Whoever ends up buying this, make sure you put anti seize in the post before screwing it into the wheel well.

Pictures of it off the truck:

The post I'm talking about, the buyer will get a brand new one:

White, debadged, Mudflaps removed, ICON 2.5 in front, 2.0 in rear, all 4 corners have reservoirs, Spidertrax wheel spacers all around, BAMF bolt on sliders, Avid lightbar, oem transmission cooler converted to power steering cooler, aftermarket transmission cooler eliminating all oem transmission cooler stuff, remote mounted spin on transmission fluid filter TrueTrac rear differential, rear diff housing vented and filtered into left side bed box, URD MAF calibrator, Volant intake scoop into oem airbox, second filter removed, airbox internals smoothed, blended and polished throttle body, NST intake manifold spacer, Wet Okolee set covers, WeatherTech Digital Fit mats, inexpensive JVC single DIN, Scangage, AVS Stepshield door sill protectors, Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, URD Y pipe with O2 sims.
Which air filter does this have? Is it Blue or light off-white colored?

I know why you pulled it, FWIW, is it louder than your Volant that was previously installed?

My Volant CAI with a Volant scoop (capped the fenderwell intake with aluminum tape) draws all air from the front side of the radiator. Not a loud intake sound during normal driving. Maybe find a scoop and build a hybrid CAI, that's my plan if I get an AFE.

Let me know on the filter style.

Bellingham MA? Well hi there neighbor! My wife is from Bellingham and works in Bellingham. We go there all the time to visit her Mom. I must have seen you around town. What do you have done to your truck? GL with your sale (I'd buy it but I have a TRD already). Hope to see you around.

I was never bothered by the sound, but like I said in my other thread part of that could be due to me having a little hearing loss, I know I don't hear certain frequencies well. This is quieter than the volant. My wife was never bothered by it driving around town, it was only after we were in the truck together for 800 miles she decided she didn't like it.

As for the filter, it's the prodry non-oiled. You can literally wash it in the tub and let it dry overnight.

Hey there, good to know there are some local people around! The only mod so far to the outside is my bug sheild and window ventshades. It's Barcelona red with an access tonneau on back. Chances are good that if you see it parked there will be at least 2 dogs in the back seat, or maybe 2 in the back and a big one in the passenger seat.

That reminds me, I forgot to mention this is nearly exactly what the 1st gen trd intake was, the only difference is this has an optional front air intake in the box.

I think the lowest I'd go right now would be $275 + shipping. Check back in a week or two and if I still have it maybe I'll go lower?
