I'd like to start a poll on how many MPGs you AVERAGE, to get a good overall picture of what Tacoma owners can expect.

Vote as many times as you like since your MPG will change with each tank.

I set the poll to never expire, so this should give us a good idea (over time) of what one can expect.

    Thanks.

Ok, I might have a made a mistake....I'm looking how a user can vote again, but I don't see that option.

Could a moderator give me some guidance?

    Thank you.

Meh, MPG threads usually get my attention and I state my $0.02, it would be nice to have a kind of universal MPG thread with a poll though. To answer the question I am getting 12 mpg.. lol

I have to agree, a sticky with all the right points of interest with MPG numbers would help with the re-posts actually.

Thank you I agree. I emailed a moderator to see if it can be made a sticky and then there would be no more need for MPG Polls.

    Is now SuperCharged
Brand new 13 TRD OR DBCB w/3400ish miles. Mine is completely stock with the exception of having a TRD Supercharger installed.

I've only check the last 2 fill ups and both of those have been in town driving with a small section of up to 50MPH.

    Last 2 tanks were 19.93mpg and 19.95mpg

Doesn't distinguish 4x4, pre runner, and base...can't tell if 4cyl or V6...SC, AC, DCSB, or DCLB...people will still post new threads...

    enough to go over stuff
I do mostly city driving on the weeks now. The ultraguage shows 17 during the weeks. 20 on weekends. But I drive fast in my prerunner with a two inch lift, agressive all terrain tires, and Im a double cab long bed.

I don't even understand how this is possible. So you have a V6, with an SC, and you are getting almost 20mpg in the city?

I am bone stock, v6, and it is impossible for me to get above 17.2 on the highway. About 14mpg in the city. And that is driving below highway max posted speed limits, and using every driving technique I know.

OP, Poll is pretty useless as you can't vote multiple times if mpg changes and it doesn't account for year or engine size (L4 vs V6). If you want some good stats then just use Fuelly where you can drill down by engine size and year.

Theoretically, the SC would be more efficient. the problem arises when people what to hear the whine or feel the power...under heavy load, of course it'll be less efficient.

think about the reason alot of car companies are going with turboed 4cyl over v6's. More power flat out and better fuel economy around town...
