    Check these out...

    Stereo Upgrade

    AUX Audio Interface

Also, I would recommend looking at these two sites...

    *********.com

    Crutchfield.com

In my limited experience with Tacoma stereos, I would think that you would need to do some kind of speaker wire splicing to get the output to a sub on a stock deck. I hope all this helps!

My Stereo/Radio/CD player never shows the author or CD name. It always says “NO-TEXT” even for newer CD’s.

Very few of the new CDs have CD Text on the disc. I used to put them into the stereo myself. The old Pioneer decks kept that data for like 200+ discs. Since then, I have gone to the JVC (my wife got me a Xmas present :) ). The stock deck might not have internal memory for CD Text, but I would think that it should.

Good point. I’ll find a CD that I know has text on it and play it in another CD player and then do the same in the Tacoma. Truth will show.

Every CD seems to not have any text info. I didn’t think this would be the great search to find a CD that contained information for the listener.

I have only seen one of my CD's display text. So I know my deck's text feature works, just think that there are limited CD's with text.

Does anyone have wiring diagrams for the stock connectors? I'm not very confident about the neighborhood I live in, so I didn't want to upgrade the stock stereo. I'd rather just add a subwoofer to the stock system.

The simplest way I can think of is to just splice in a speaker-line==>rca adapter, but I'm not sure which wires I'd have to splice, and I don't care to rip apart the rest of the car to find out which wires go where. Any help would be appreciated. I basically just need to know one set of R and one set of L wires.

I still cannot find a CD that contains text. Anybody have and idea where I can get one? I want to make sure the player works ok, but I cannot find a CD to test this functionality. Otherwise it comes up and says “No Text”

I wish I could help. I don't use CDs anymore! The only time I do is when I have an MP3 CD that I have burned. Sorry. :(

I have a cd in my truck that displays the text. On my way home I will find out which one it is, but I can verify that atleast one store bought cd does display text.

While checking for the one cd with text I found I had three that displayed the album name and song title.

Good Charlotte, Lost Prophets and Crossfade

Also, my player says "No Title" instead of "No Text."
