newfieDan, I hear ya and I NEVER would have believed it if I didn't do it myself. I spent the first tank full of fuel, after the SC install, standing on the loud pedal. I was not nice to it at all. In fact, my wife told me I didn't need a gas pedal but rather and on/off switch because it was either WFO or coasting. I've been around plenty of high hp vehicles so it only took me 1 tank full to get it out of my system and now I'm back to driving like a normal human being. The SC is certainly better than stock but by the end of the first tank full I was getting less and less impressed with the power increase. I'm sure if I drove a stocker I'd feel differently.

Two things I think, maybe, help/ed with my MPG. 1) I try and always roll away from a stop, easily and smoothly pressing on the throttle. 2) I've noticed since the SC install that it stays in a higher gear without downshifting A LOT more then it did before too.

I'm very curious to see what it does on a freeway only trip. I don't think I'm going to see a huge gain but if I can get 21 I'll be thrilled.

2008 v6, doublecab, 2wd, TRD...according to fuelly, averaging a shade over 21. Most of my driving is near-highway type - mostly backroads type and roughly 20% city. No lead foot here!

How do you all get such good mpg?!?!? Lol

I've got a new 2013 double cab sr5. I've only filled it up twice but so far I'm getting 14mpg. I do about 50/50 city and highway. I've been wondering what I've been doing wrong!

I like the idea of a universal thread....I guess judging by the results my mileage isn't as bad as I thought! I usually get between 16 and 18....depending on if it was a largely highway/largely in town tank, etc. I'm not easy on the go pedal either.

This is a 4x4 V6 Access, bone stock at the moment. Doing my research so I can change that ;)

For in town stop and go driving, your driving style can make a pretty big difference. When I drive my wife's car I can always get better gas mileage than she does. I have a more smooth approach to pressing the loud pedal. I let off sooner and don't use nearly as much brake also. My wife snaps your head back from a stop and usually doesn't let off till the last minute then brakes hard to a stop and repeats that never ending cycle and if I try and even think about saying something about her driving style she thinks I've lost my mind. And the really funny part is my wife hates riding with my sister for the exact some reasons I bitch at my wife.

I thought the SC engines got an injector change for higher fueling.

The poll needs to go up to 38 mpg. I've had 2 38 mpg tanks 5 37s and many more 34-36 mpg tanks.

Commendable hypermiling, but your average appears to be around 30.

When using 10-15 ethanol in the gas, I get about 18 mpg city/hwy mixed. When using non-ethanol gas, I get about 20 mpg city/hwy mixed.

I have not modified my truck. I drive a 2013 Double cab Sport V6. Already close to 10k miles.

In order for you to see better mpg, you will need to break your engine in. In the beginning, you should expect to get low mpg but between 5-10k miles, you should see improvements.

I also have a 2013 with almost 10k miles on it avg 20 mpg using non-ethanol gas. With ethanol, I get about 18 mpg mixed.

    OP wants every tank.

Winter takes a hit, summer tanks are go way up.

And I can't get E0 around here anymore.

Bone stock '09 TRD Sport with 2" lift. Right now I'm getting 26mpg right now and it's slowly creeping up. By next week I should be 27at or higher. Kinda surprising for a tall dcsb V6.
