Ok, so I officially got the OK to take this time off from work. That being said I've got a lot to do to gear up and get my truck ready, so you can add another Coloradoan to the tenative list.

Also, you'd have to put up with another fairly inexperienced driver with a mildly modified rig.

About 5-10 minutes setup and take down. It gets faster the more you do it. But it is pretty easy and stuffs into some of the smaller REI stuff/compression sacks.

I am starting to collect spare parts for trail breakage not just in Moab but for all wheeling mishaps. What is my best option for cv axles? Does someone make heavy duty ones? I want complete, assembled a les that will make fixing quick. I have found a few sites with refurb ones for as low as $50/each. Should I just go that route? What other parts should I look into getting? U joints? I don't think I will be able to swing a new drive shaft, but will keep an eye out anyway.

    2 hubs with wheel bearings
    2 tie rods
1 full set of LCA's lol(only because I have my factory ones )
    3 Toyota CV's

i know I have some other odds and ends

Alright cool. Just making sure he got some sort of answer. I wanted to say he would be fine on White Rim, but I really haven't been there while it's raining so I didn't want to tell him wrong.

    Here's my spare list:D
    1 hub with bearing
1 bearing (just in case, I figure I can find a shop that can press it on)
    2 tie rods
    2 TREs
    u-joints
    3 Toyota CVs
    2 inner CVs
    front driveshaft
    rear driveshaft

Probably won't bring this stuff, but I have it:
both LCAs w/ full set of cams/bolts
    both spindles
    both rear axles

I honestly don't think I'll need any of this, but I'm bringing it anyway. Well, I may need the hub/bearing. My DS is new, but my PS has 70k on it- been waiting on it to go out for a while.

Still working on a tool list...

Thats what I was thinking. I am working on getting two CV axles, two Tie rods and two tie rod ends and fluids. Hopefully that is good enough. Once I get those and my CB, I am ready!

Just contacted CVJ for quotes on CV axles. THey quoted around $250 for each since I will paying the core charge so I can keep mine as spares. That includes the red silicone inner CV boot that is supposedly better for offroading vehicles that are lifted.

    Is that a decent price?

Maybe I am missing something, but where or how are you contacting CVJ. I can't find a website or link anywhere.
